I loved it , the whole day , spent the second half in awe watching the crowd and trying to soak in the atmosphere and to marvel at 35k + city fans in their feet waving flags and out singing the Welsh when 5-0 down .
Brilliant day and one I'll never forget!

 

Just getting there was an amazing achievement

 

Proud of the achievement but hugely disappointed by the performance.

 

I never had a problem with any Bradfordian who attended that day, there were 9 in our party of which only two were Bradford City fans me and my grandson.
I wanted the rest of our party to experiance what a great day it is when we win at Wembley unfortunatly Swansea took the game by the scruff of the neck from the first whistle and we never got a kick, yet my wife, daughters and granddaughter took great pride in that phenomenal last 15 minutes or so, proud to be a Bradfordian.

 

Nothing to be ashamed of we were brilliant before and after that game .....AND THE FANS DURING

 

And the date of both such matches....

11th August.

For the “ atmosphere “ why not. It was special, of course and to many, the score doesn’t count

 

I'm reminded of the match every time I go for a haircut. My Hearts supporting barber displays the Cup Final City flag in his Edinburgh shop.

 

That run started with an away win in Nottingham. This season, 1st round we're away in Nottingham, just saying.

Laudrup had recognised that our biggest threat to them was from set pieces and that our central midfield of Jones and Doyle was slow. He set them up to play tika taka keepball and run us ragged. They kept the ball on the park the whole time and starved us of any opportunity to play to our strengths. It was superb tactical management.
I agree about Davies and Reid not starting. And having a CB at LB hurt us badly. At least Reid's pace might have worried them and given us a chance of getting the ball to Nahki or big Jim, neither of whom had a sniff all game.

 

I dont remember a cold day either. It was mild!!!
