First away game was February 87 at Leeds. As I recall, Keith Edwards scored a last minute winner for leeds

Guessing about 1982/83. Sunday home game if I remember right against Aldershot. Stood in the paddock.

The game where we were nearly crushed until they opened more pens?

Yep. I remember the 3-3, Abbott and Costello game where they had to open pens, though much of that was down to that lot from the lowfields wanting to "greet" us

I used to hate Keith Edwards with a passion.

I can't remember either sadly. My first home game was in 1983 when I went with some friends from work having just moved from Liverpool. I went to a few more games but stopped when the children arrived and didn't start again until the Richmond kid for a quid scheme when we beat Oxford 2-0 at home.
I honestly can't remember the first away game I went to. It will have been in the Premiership years and I will have been on the official coach with the 2 children.

First home game I fail to remember the opposition but Lee Power scored on his debut.

First away game was Hull when we had their home stand. Think I was 10, was enthralled by the chaos. City Gent got a bust nose outside the ground at the end of the game. Was brilliant experience at that age.

Port Vale night game at home 1977/78 sat in old main stand.
Seem to remember buying a black cushion to sit on which had a handle stitched on it for carrying purposes. Think we drew 1-1.
First away game was Lincoln City same season as above we lost 3-2.Remember leaving the ground wondering how we lost the match.

I can't remember specifically which were my first home and away games.

My dad has always said that he started taking me in the early 70s, when I was a 3 or 4 year old and lifting me over the turnstiles down at VP and then sitting on his knee. Barnsley must have been my first away game as again dad has said I went with him as a nipper and sat on his knee!!

Both still going 50 years later and now my eldest lad has done about 20 years too!!

One other game I remember was playing Port Vale at VP.

My headmaster was there and he knew Stanley Matthews (managing PV at the time.)

    I got SM autograph.

It was a night match, we won 2-0.

    Can't remember the year.

First home game was November 1993 vs Dog Botherers. Can’t remember much other than vague recollections of the ‘super Sean McCarthy’ and ‘PC Showler’ chants, oh, and the Kop!

can’t remember my first away - didn’t do many as kids, or now, tbh!

first away game was Hudders , 7th Sep 1985. We lost 2-0. Still have the 20 loyalty points! Lol

Hereford at home 70 s early and methinks Doncaster away same year. That little train station and being chased by 40 year old men who for some reason hated Bratfud when I just a nipper.... God that long ago

Yes, I can remember that! It was off to the left of the Kop, as looking out on the ground. If I remember correctly there were some old school metal posts in the ground that you could lean on.

First home game Newcastle United FA Cup 1963. Remember the winter better, the delay in playing the game took the gloss of the tie. Away game Bradford Park Avenue.

I can't remember what I had for tea last night never mind my first home or away game, I started attending home games in the late 50s where the likes of the Jackson twins, Martin Bakes, David Boyle, Malcolm Currie, Jimmy Lawlor,George Mulholland, Geoff Smith, Bobby Webb, Jock Whyte were my boyhood hero's.
