You could change the name of the manager for the last 5 seasons and your statement would be relevant. It’s more than the manager where the issues lay. It needs change at the very top or you’ll be saying the same thing for the next 5 seasons.

 

Agree with you, after recent performances and interviews I don’t see a long term future at the club for Adams. However do I want a Rupp or Sparks to find the new manager and build the scouting department back up? Do I bollocks. Sparks should stick to the commercial side of things and Rupp should stick to cars.

 

This is where I’m at these days, I know Adams is about as endearing as chlamydia but chopping again only gets us back to square one imo, more overhauls from scratch and with no guarantees. Money wise we aren’t this big club so we reap what we sow, those at the top are the ones getting away with it.

 

Yeah, WAGMI. And before you cry about crypto, their proposed offer was in GBP and they have investors to pump cash into the club infrastructure. Crypto is a very small part of what they do as a group.

 

I know little about Wagmi never mine Crypto or if they were buying the club with real money as you say, were all so pissed off with the present situation were cluching at straws (yes that includes me) Rupp made it out they was very little contact with regards their proposed offer although Wagmi claimed there had been dialogue between the two parties yet Rupp was quite happy to call them out and take them to court.
I was quite happy with what I'd read with regards Wagmi but the Americans don't always understand exactly what a football team is all about would they use if like a franchise and if they felt it benefited them more they could do an MK Don's and take us elsewhere.
It might be the way business is done in the future but I would be happier with a take over like the Wrexham deal, two upfront investors.

Yes they are and I may be totally wrong but Ryan Reynolds and his friend Rob McElhenney come across as investors who are quite happy to put their brass into Wrexham and allow the people at the club run it.
The feeling I got from Wagmi with regards posting on here Wagmi suggesting they were well down the road with regards a possible take over and how they proposed to purchase our club didn't sit right.
Just my take on the situation but as with the proposed Gianni Paladini take over all history now.

 

I get all the comments about not yet another change in manager after so many in Rupps era, however, Adams really is not the fit for us. He is a poor coach (have any of the players improved?), he doesn't recognise his own failings and calling out players and fans is quite simply unacceptable. Get someone like Flynn in for the long term.

 

I would contact Lee Johnson on the quiet and if he was interested would appoint him straight away to take over

There is a chance he’d have to forfeit his payout from Sunderland which I imagine will be far more than we could offer, let’s be realistic. If Adams goes it will be Trueman until the end of the season with Drury number 2.

Well I agree on the Trueman side, his football wasn’t my cup of tea we created less than we do now and relied on wonder goals a number of times. Before his luck ran out and we lost our last 7 games and tbh we’d have kept losing had the season kept going. But it’s the most likely scenario until the end of the season, not a permanent appointment. It’s pointless to make one at this stage, we aren’t going up or down and there is no transfer window to change things.

I disagree on Evans though, for the simple fact he was booed coming onto the pitch when we played Rochdale at home. It’s hard to come back from something like that and he’s not really been seen since.

 

As good a suggestion as owt, only 'til end of season anyway..
