Calling all Match Going Members

As some of you have most likely noticed at busy times we get intermittent 508 Errors. This means that certain server resources are being reached and despite some configuration tweaks it doesn't seem to be going away and as we get more members its only going to get worse so that server move we have been talking about is going to need to happen sooner rather than later (I'm thinking as early as during the week seeing as Bradford don't have a midweek game this week)

Now onto why I need you match going members. Seeing as the overload only happens during a couple of hours each week the new server will be a little bit overkill for most of the time so if we can increase overall activity that would help justify it much more. I have a few ideas about this and I want to Beta test one today.

At the end of the match, I would like as many of you as possible to get your mobile phones out and record a video of yourself giving your thoughts on the match.

When you have done send an email to bttv@bantamtalk.com with the following information

• Your Forum name
• Your First Name (If you would prefer not to give that then thats fine we will identify you with your forum name)
• And a Social media address if you would like that included

I will then send you a link where you can upload your video to

I want to see over a couple of games how quickly I can turn videos around if I get the templates sorted and it doesn't need much editing it shouldn't be that long. It should really just be the encoding time

Some ground rules for your videos

• STATE your Forum username at the start of the video
• Keep it PG so I don't need to edit out any swearing
• No Racist, Sexist, Xenophobic comments
• It doesn't need to be a 30min rant. Infact I would prefer it isn't as the shorter the less editing that will be needed. Maybe just have a short overall comment and then pick an area or two you want to focus on. Something in the 3-8min range would be ideal

As I said this is only a beta test, I have some bigger ideas on this and how it can be used to drive some more traffic for when we move host. I will add anyone who contributes to a hidden forum for further discussion once the test has been done

Oh and while you are at it if you take any pictures during the match feel free to tweet them out and tag us at @bantamtalk . We will retweet the best. And if you aren't following us do so

 

That's the plan.Will be hosted on Youtube just to keep server space used down and either will be set as unlisted so you have to come here to see them or public as marketing for the site. Potentially we could also do edited versions on the public youtube and full length ones on here. We could also have paid members get early access as well
