Dear all. Let me tell you a story. A few months ago I was in what I thought was a long-term relationship. We'd been together for quite a long time. I was happy. Contented even. Yes we had words sometime and I didn't always agree with what was being said but I thought 'each to their own'. Indeed, we'd managed to get through the good and the bad times together. I was even connected to others that we mutually knew so I felt part of a wider circle as well. And then one day I was told totally out of the blue. I'm sorry. I don't want to do this anymore. The fun's gone and quite frankly I'm moving on. No warning. No opportunity even to take one last look at my many ramblings. I was devastated. Bereft. Aimless and rudderless. But then one of our mutual contacts took me in. Gave me a new home with new friends and even some of the old ones. I gave the relationship a chance. well, what else did I have left to lose. And it began to work. I discovered many others like me who had been dumped by my previous relationship. We began to gather and yes we created a new home for ourselves. Different but also comfortingly the same. I felt as if I'd moved on. And now, again out of the blue that old relationship is back. Bold as Yorkshire brass. I've had a rethink, perhaps things aren't as rosy as I thought they'd be and can we try again? Well, what am I supposed to do? Just walk back like a poodle and turn my back on those that created my new place - indeed, just like my previous partner did all those months ago. Well, I've got more scruples than that. So no. I'll be staying put thank you very much. Never go back to a previous relationship I was once told and I've only ever made that mistake once and it was indeed another car crash ending. So I'll be staying where I am. I hope many of my mutual contacts will feel the same. Loyalty is a rare commodity these days - especially in the world of football. But I've still got some. Thank you for listening and good afternoon.

Well I find it astonishing that Ed decided to reopen it. When he decided he would close it he was adamant that it was over. I was around when he first set it up and contributed financially. All very strange, has he given a reason other than he needed a break? I would have thought he might have been happy with posting rather than having total control.

@king karl set this up. Loads of work and finances have gone into this, and I am more than happy to stay here. I actually like it better.

The only other board I post on is the Cows Arse, which has me in stitches.

 

Agree, Karl put the effort in to start this board after Ed decided enough was enough.

What's the point when Ed could just change his mind again and close it. I'm sticking on here.

It's the philosophy of my restaurant chain, so I certainly hope that's the case.

 

I've an idea , why don't all the Edin haters move onto c&b and all the happy clappers stay on here then harmony can be reached.

With regards to Park Bantam we will have to all meet up for a fight and the losers have got to take him!!

Ed's killed it again. Shame really, he's knows what he's doing and can run a cracking site.

I suspect he'll come back with a new idea that doesn't look like this. Very innovative is. Ed. Remember when he had all the old arcade games to dick around with? Shoutbox and match day chat were good ideas. About a decade ago he even had a 1:1 chat facility that was ace for calling TonyD naughty names.

 

FFS. Why have The Sun when you can have Shakespeare. Heathen.
