With parking around the ground now quite bad,why don't First Bus charge only half fare on match days when a city season card is shown.

Good shout. They did some kind of sponsorship last year, but not sure about this year.

Considering they are owned by arriva which is owned by DB you would think they would do something. In Germany your match ticket includes public transport for the day, ran by DB.

    Whats in it for them?

Apart from a load of smelly blokes from Holme Wood shouting and swearing at each other?

More people on buses who otherwise would go by car.

That would be nice, maybe some sausage rolls and vol au vents as a side platter.

A day rider is about 4 quid.

Is a 2 pound saving really going to make any difference to how people choose to travel?

Maybe the driver could stand outside the bus holding a cardboard sign up with passengers names on like they do at Alicante Airport.

I suppose you can then have copious amounts to drink and not worry about being over the limit? The £2 will buy an extra half!

    Why should they?
If you owned a business would you do the same?

Getting 50 people on the bus and paying half fare is better than no people getting on.

If there is a demand for a service why would a company offer it at half price?

In reality, we have a ground usually around half full, withing walking distance of the centre and with a ton of parking nearby.

You’re obviously not a businessman. What you’ve just described is very bad business sense.
Reducing prices to combat falling numbers is only de-valuing the product.
Oh wait.........don’t we do that at VP with season tickets?
