I'd have no problem with them ground sharing just as long as they are prepared to pay rent, pay for the pitch upgrade to accommodate both sports plus go 50/50 on any ground repairs/upgrades.

A possibility that they may leave Odsal and groundshare somewhere. Avenue and Dewsbury seem to be getting mentioned, by Bulls fans, as more likely. I just can't see City letting them play at Valley Parade for nothing, or virtually nothing. And, unless something dramatic happens, that is all they can afford to pay.

I think the Council own the freehold and the RFL have a long lease on it.

Place isn't far away from being condemned, its been that long that any sort of maintenance work has been done. Needs putting out of its misery and thats coming from me who frequented the place for over 20 years.

The debate about Odsal is a perennial one that crops up on stock car forums.
    Three things hinder motorsport returning:
    1. The pitch would need reinstating in the corners every time the Bulls played
    2. Rugby League is now a summer sport as is speedway and stock cars leading to a limited number of available dates which need to fit around Bulls home games.
    3. The cost of reinstating the track and safety fence.
If the Bulls move out two of the three problems ate solved.
Odsal needs to be a multi event venue. Too much money has been spent on grand plans that would cost £millions but haven't ever materilised over the years. A bit of realism needs to come in. Grand plans about hotels, all seater stadia with roofs on have been mooted before. It was the supposed reason why stock cars and speedway were booted out in 1997. It turned out to be another white elephant of a pipe dream.
Having suffered watching City play up there after the fire, I wouldn't want to go anywhere near the place again for football. Not even in some grand plan that will never get off the ground. It's miles from the city centre and a bugger to get to if you're not travelling by car.
We have a fantastic ground and for those of us who had to trek to L##ds Road and Bellend road and then Odsal, we dreamed of returning to VP. And for that reason alone I would never want us to leave VP. Too much history and heartache to forgo the place

That is the same argument City had when we dropped down the leagues. It isn’t the landlords fault the club are rubbish.

Bradford isn't a huge place, it's not like Bulls and City fans are not used to driving to the match.

Looking at what a lot of bulls fans are saying... they realise odsal has seen its day and valley parade is the only real option

Horsfall is too small and everyone says if they move out the city its game over

    Hypothetical money no object scenario.

The best would be imo, the gratton site along Thornton road and some of the derelict looking old mill builds going towards the centre. Demolish the lot, the whole areas a dump anyway and build a state of the art stadium there with a hotel on and big walk way into the centre finishing at the Odeon. Make it look green as well, make the place look iconic.

Then you’ve still got a city centre stadium for both clubs, which gives you the footfall and Bradford as a whole would look far better.

Far to much money would be needed though sadly. Where are the billionaire, Bradford sport loving philanthropists when you need them! Oh and a council with vision to actually allow it.

Foster square would be perfect, just move the shops there into broadway. There are to many buildings and not enough tenants in the City.

Twenty years ago on a warm summer evening with 20k+ in for a game against Leeds it was ok. Not been in over 13 years but it looks a right shithole these days.
