Yep I’m back looking for recommendations.

Anyone recommend a builder that could do some work for us. We are wanting to knock through between our kitchen and dining room to get some more useable space.

Not sure if it is a supporting wall or not but probably is.

Just ring round some builders. If they can do it within the next 2 months scrub them off your list. Any longer than that then you've half a chance of a decent builder.

Thinking of doing the same myself. Have learnt from previous experience it's better to play the long game.

Good point that. I waited 4 months for a fitting date for a kitchen fitter who was recommended to me.

Never ceases to amaze me when folk phone me, and want work doing straight away. When you say it’ll be at least a couple of months, some wait, but many don’t. I guess it depends on scale of job and urgency. But yes, it’s better to be busy in terms of how it looks for your business, surely? If i was after a trade to do a job, i’d be realistic about timeframes and agree with what Daisy and Idle suggest.

He is someone who works on a self employed basis but contracted to JCT600. He doesnt really do the type of building work you seem to need. Aside from his work for JCT, he fits kitchens and windows.

A neighbour has recommended a building firm called CI Construction from Baildon. Check their website, they do large building projects.
