Hello guys, Wrexham fan in peace here.
As we've just signed Bryce Hosannah and I think I'm correct in saying that his only senior football has been with Bradford, can anyone spare a minute or two to describe him as a player please?
Also I've been impressed with Parky so far and I'm encouraged by the fact that most of his clubs have been struggling financially during his tenure. Do you think that he will be good for us with good financial backing for our National League level?
I'm glad you've had a good start to the season, you are another big club, with a good history that should be higher up the pyramid.

For me Bryce looked better going forward than defensively. He is quick, so good on the overlap, but we did not see enough of him after his injury to pass a real judgement, especially through the winter months when the pitches became heavy.
Parky was brilliant for us and built a very good team from lower league players , with very little money. Failed in my eyes at Bolton and Sunderland. It could just be a case of right man at the right time.
    Good luck for the season.

Parky is still remembered fondly with most Bantam fans for giving us some brilliant times, notably promotion and reaching league cup final in 2013.

If we had not had a change of ownership, which prompted Parky to immediately leave us as he saw right through the new owners immediately, I am confident he would have got us to the Championship.

His style of football was not always easy on the eye, but it was successful. He was a good fit for our club.

As for Hosannah, he looked very good going forward but not the best defensively. He would suit a 3-5-2 formation as a wing back, but not sure about a solid back 4.

All the best for the season, you have been in non league for far too long now and can see Parky doing the business for you

Hosannah showed some good form for us especially going forward, I think most would have been happy to see him back. Not sure how a manager like Parky would use him what with Parky style being predominantly defensive based. Maybe he sees him as a winger.

Thanks, it sounds like BH is similar to our right wing back that just got injured.

Thanks a lot, Hosannah is going to be used as a wing-back, so that is good. Hope to see you in 3 years in the Championship. haha

With the right backing, I certainly wouldn't put it past Parky.

Parky is a living legend in these parts, you will do well under him though it might be next season once his re-build is complete. Hossanah is a bit of an enigma, he was injured whilst here so didn't play much but looked the real deal going forward if a bit normal defensively.

What I find strange is the use of wing backs. Parky is a dyed in the wool 442 man and I doubt he will use him as a genuine wingback, more likely to play him in front of a solid full back (as he did here with Stephen Darby playing behind Tony McMahon). Parky likes to play one wide man as a solid player and a winger on the other side.

Good luck this season Sheepdip. i watched the game vs Notts County and thought it was a very good game.

Jones impressed me - he has a good shot on him and his goal wasn’t offside.

Was pleased to see French in the side but it looks like Hosannah could put his place under threat.

I echo what others have said about Hosannah, he’s a promising player and looks good on the ball going forward.

He should give Hyde and Mullin good service whipping balls in. With Reckord also liking to put in crosses you could have a decent side there.

would love to see a big physical striker winning the flicks off those Tozer throws for Mullin to knock in - have backed you to go up and Mullin for top scorer. Hyde will have to do!

Parky is a legend and many Bradford fans will be cheering you on now he’s there. He created memories in his time here, made history. A few that don’t understand what success is in football criticized his style of play but what the guy did here will never be repeated, taking a L2 team to a major cup final.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to reply, I feel optimistic that this could be the year that we finally escape this league. All the best for the season ahead.

I didn't know Tyler French was playing for Wrexham. I think there's a player there somewhere. He always put a shift in when he played for us. Just was a fringe player, and often played in different positions. Good luck to him.

Looks to have landed a good gig there happy for him not much of a step down and now getting regular first team football at a club with real potential

Don't know if he's going to be a good player or not but he's potentially in a similar situation to Jake Wright when he was at ambitious non league club Crawley so who knows

With regards injury to the kid Hosannah we have to remember our manager at the time was happy with a small tight squad which I think would make his job easier, unfortunatly he tended to try and play players through their injuries which put two of our better players out for longer.
The games the lad played for us he looked good as a wing back.
