I did say in my post that our system at the time made it easier for Northampton. Despite that I still think they are the best team we have seen at Valley Parade this season and are better than Salford.

Didn’t know that Dave, I’ve not read much at all. On reflection my comments probably sounded quite harsh!

I thought playing Sutton in both recent home games allowed Gilliead and Smallwood more room to play more so in yesterdays game, to be honest Halliday was up against probably Salford's best player on the day, again I don't think anyone had a poor game yesterday.

not as if Salford missed chance after chance was it ???? They had two glaring misses at the end but Chapman should have scored and like you said a fit Walker would have nailed that ..............still we move on let’s just hope it’s the last time we play them for a good few years now .......... they don’t bring much to the Bradford city party ........... poor away allocation ......... hardly bring any fans .............honestly we deserve to be where we are in the football side of things but as a fan base we shouldn’t be anywhere near this level ............. we will have had 3 local games and 3 combined will probably just pull through the 1k mark .......... imagine that on the other foot with the tickets available......... we would have been pushing well over 12k comfortably............. I actually hate this league least League one will through a fair few big games our way with what’s in there and what’s lurking near the bottom of the championship

    Hi Gaz.

Don't "pull players apart" m9. It's "not normal" or summat.

    Cheers.

You can't beat a free flowing game and yesterdays referee certainly made the game entertaining.
The stop start antics of Drysdale, Deadman and co are at the other end of the scale when it comes to officiating.
    Excellent performance from the referee.

just very odd to see a ref actually letting the game flow when near on 90% would have been blowing for fun .......... think some folk thought we should be getting free kicks when in all honesty we shouldn’t have if they apply the laws right ............. imagine if that was the standard through the leagues ?????? I bet the blatant diving and time wasting would stop big time

I wonder why they didn't make any subs yesterday. They must have quality on the bench and you would expect them to bring fresh legs on especially in the last 15 mins or so when they were trying to get the equalising goal.

sometimes it works both ways how many times have we thrown subs and it’s actually made us look worse

True. They contributed to a good game of football and I expect them to be up there at the end of the season IF they sort their dodgy defence out. They looked like they hadn't played together before especially the first goal. Comedy defending.

The feeling of positivity is well and truly back considering we now have a manager who has realised he can play different formations and still get a positive result. At least he has changed things up-maybe the players had an open meeting and said they felt stifled? I dunno, but something has changed recently and thank goodness it has.

Most seem to miss what he does in that he not only wins the ball and drives the midfield forward. As important is his denial of space to the opposition as he reads and stops players recieving the ball in dangerous posions. He will lose his place to make room for Walker but it is no coincidence that performance and results have improved and gone our way when he plays

They were looking to buy the AJ Bell stadium,so they would get rent in from Sale Sharks, plus anything they could make from renting the function rooms.Long term thinking, but nothing settled yet.

Found the answer to my own question -taken from Salford forum:
"Bradford replaced half their outfield team in the second half and it paid immediate dividends. That suggests to me that they have a much better squad than we have and were prepared to make changes even though they enjoyed the better of the first half. NW said that we were in the ascendancy and I can agree to a point but there were a number of tired legs together with some sub standard performers out there which needed to be replaced by fresher and better options. The question is though did we have those better options on the bench, I think we all know the answer and it's a situation that needs urgently addressing this month."

I know but in the long term will they really attract the fans ....... like Crawley it would seem that these owners don’t realise that some clubs won’t attract fan based no matter what they do ............. look at Wrexham you could see that with the right owners that thousands would come flocking in ...........plenty of clubs like that but for some reason they go after these clubs ............ and apparently if Man U are doing well then a big majority of Salford fans go missing ............... I’m sure they played us at home last season the same day United had Newcastle at home and it had a massive affect in there gate

I think he forgets he's dealing with L2 players who won't digest tactical information as well as say in The Premiership, i.e. at their peak Henderson managed the tactics on the pitch - according to the situation.

I think he's not obsessed with a set system and expects the players to adapt. That of course is naive at this level. However, the players should be able to game manage and I suppose have done so successfully many times this season
