Glad we got the early cracking goal to set us on our way. As comfortable win as you will see all season.

All played their part again today, there doesn't seem to be any obvious weaknesses in the team.

Loving Halliday, at last we have a decent right back.

Harry Chapman man of the match for me, he has improved with each game and slotted in very effectively in the number 10 role.

 

This is a much improved side isn't it. Smallwood is absolute class at this level. Anyone want Watt back now?

Yes watching the games and shaking my head at some of the big name players who don't look interested, Erik ten Hag has a massive job on with this shower.

 

Enjoyed Jake Young finally coming on, his link up play with Chapman and Ridehalgh was pretty tasty.

Oliver seems to just hang around at the far post waiting for service, why not move around once in a while

Confidence looks sky high for this lot at the moment, hope it continues

Enjoyed that much more like it when we played with a bit of intensity we look a good team.

Critchlow looks a right player I can see him ending up in the prem I think there's big things to come for him wish he was our player. Platt has impressed me as well though just quietly goes about his business. Chapman impressed today as did Gilly. I was critical of Smallwood the goal was a stunner but his overall performance was superb today real toss up over the man of the match.

Newport looked a better team than their results suggest the sending off killed them but I was surprised to see them sit back towards the end.

 

Missed it today as away. Very happy logging on to see a 2-0 win. Well done lads, superb result

 

Newport have struggled at the start of the season and we didn’t have to get out of second gear.

We played decent but can play better I would have thought suppose we didn’t need too.

Far too early to say how things might be considering this was our first league win and we lost last week but it was a good result today.
