They seem to be playing reasonably well do Newport. Think we'll need at least one more goal. Maybe some impact form our subs will also help.

 

Great goal from us, sounds like both teams are playing well.

 

The advantage of having a keeper like Lewis who is an accurate kicker - he can pick out Cook or Angol up the pitch if they want to press high up. We just need to learn how and when to mix it up.

 

Gilliead non existent again, two names on the team sheet or not.

 

Which one though because the one Park is watching is edging out Messi in the Ballon d'Or voting

Enjoyable half that. We’ve played some nice stuff, with more intensity than the first 2 games. They’ve played some nice stuff too. A good one to watch. Ridehalgh worries me though. Sloppy in possession and teams seem to get in behind him too often

 

I’m not his biggest fan but in this heat you can see the energy he is bringing, constantly in their faces. Most the players look knackered already but Gilliead is still running his socks off.

 

Im with you. He’s broken things up, retained and carried the ball well. Him and Smallwood are an excellent pair. And Smallwood has been superb, again.

 

We've been struggling since we scored Angol is getting annoyed out wide on the left and seeing little of the ball.

 

Half time takeaway.

They keep swamping the middle which is a danger. Their right wingback a threat.

Banks is a real threat but should have done better with the last minute free kick and should have hit the target when he hit the side netting.
I can see Young coming on in place of Angol but not East as Gilly is better at the breaking up side of things.
