Wouldn't get carried away after 1 home win in 2 months. We need to back it up on Saturday against the type of opposition we're notoriously bad against in recent times.
Besides, we're still in the bottom half with only 14 games remaining having played more than every other team around us, 2 more than some. Around 75 points is needed to obtain 7th, so we would need to win 11 of those remaining 14 matches to stand a chance, 10 if we're lucky. Can't see it myself so some perspective is required.
On the plus side, long may this continue! Nobody would have seen us getting 6 points from Wrexham and MK Dons, a very welcome surprise considering all the doom and gloom lately. Great to see Calum scoring. I'm still not going back just yet though, however if we beat Sutton to record 3 league wins in a row I might be swayed.

Mocking their possession based football with 10-15 minutes to go while 4-0 down was sweet though
That's when style of play just becomes completely brainless. What use is having the ball in your own half when all you're doing is effectively heaping more soil on your own casket.Offcomedun, Bronco, Keefly Bantam and 1 other person like this. -

The first twenty minutes of the match was vital for us. Withstanding the really good quick football they were playing Tomkinson in particular made some great last ditch tackles. If they had scored then the result could have been much different

Tactically it was a masterclass from Alexander, knowing MK like to play out from the back into the space between the lines we sat deep and compact and pressed as a compact unit. It completely nullified them as an attacking threat, then be clinical with the smaller amount of possession we had. 28% possession but creating the better chances is best performance yet from GA as our manager. I've rightly questioned some his decisions and personnel used but going back to the 3 centre backs he used night is the platform.

Dunno whats coming over me, actually contemplating going down tomorrow. usually its a cut and dried ‘no’ for midweek games these days!
That may be more down to the ‘half term escaping mad house’ factor than a ‘expectation of entertainment/result factor’, mind! -

I find tonight’s game very difficult to gauge. Obviously the heart says a City win. MK Franchise are steadily climbing the table, which given City’s dreadful home form, suggests a defeat. The pitch will be like Morecambe Bay mud flats. That should stop them playing neat passing football on the deck. However we have our two creative midfielders, who can score, out for sometime. It is going to be wet and slippy on that pitch. Our defence is in fine form.
If they score, l think it will be game over. If we can get a goal, it could set it up for a dramatic encounter.
I will go with hope, but no great expectation. I want to see fight and determination, with some creativity. If we then get undone, at least we have given it a go.white coat bantam, Botswana Bantam and vladimir like this. -
