I've read some unbelievable stuff on here at times, but nothing quite as outlandish as this.

Oliver getting another goal is a big plus.

Everyone seemed to play pretty well until we went 2-0 up, then we sorta collapsed.

Young is like a better version of Harratt - but there's no reason to keep piling on Harratt. It seems to be a bit fashionable at the minute after all the social media BS - but we need to remember that it really is just that - BS! Harratt had his moments, and I was fixing the coffee machine during the shoot out and I honestly don't give a shit about this competition but my wife made us buy it.

What I did remark upon when we went 2-0 up is how good our second string actually is. It's all right saying "it's a bunch of kids", but there isn't really a measuring stick for these games. Leicester had some players that looked the business, but we were obviously the better side for most of the game.

Quite an entertaining game, shouldn’t have thrown it away but never mind.

More importantly tonight Northampton and Donny lost.

Meant our players, but yes Leicester had some decent players in their side.

I thought East stood out tonight. Odusina, Songo’o too.

Sutton and Young were busy but don’t think they’ll be ousting anyone from the starting XI on Saturday.

Oliver started off well and scored a brilliant goal, but had less impact as the game wore on.

Overall though I thought we played some nice football. We’re really passing it about well, and off the ball movement is great. It really is night and day compared to what we were seeing last season and it bodes well for the future.

A final word on Harratt. He put himself about tonight and was unlucky with a couple of chances. Poor penalty, but we don’t want to be turning him into a scapegoat, we need all players and need him to come good. Let’s get behind him not vilify him.

Trying not to get annoyed but Louis the commentator is just annoying.

He actually says the wrong things - just then he said they had a corner, it was a free kick. He says there's a throw in when there's a corner. He uses the wrong stand names. He's just factually incorrect and says the wrong thing just too often such that you're not sure what is actually happening.

    Sorry, end of rant.

We were open down the left 2nd half and sat back allowing them to get back in the game. Young disappeared defensively, Harratt tried too hard and we stopped doing the things (which seems to be a common theme) that worked well. With Oliver and Angol on the pitch we should have dominated the youngsters at the back. We persist in playing out from the back and this causes more problems for us than the opposition.

Disappointing result but on tonight’s evidence I can’t see any changes to the starting 11 on Saturday.

it’s a bunch of kids who will no doubt train at the finest academy

it’s a bunch of kids who will be no doubt be train with the first team a Premier league one at that

honestly the way some are going on you would think that these bunch of kids where pulled off the estate in Holme wood

As Hughes has said in the T&A this morning, it was an opportunity to try something different. I’m happy for us to play out from the back, if we play forward when the opportunity arises. What we see time and retime again from Crichlow in particular, is a half turn back to the keeper, across to the right back, a panicked pass back to Lewis for him to launch to Cook who more times than not is beaten by the centre half. Crichlow should be looking to feed into one of Gilliead, Smallwood or whoever is playing the 10 role, but again, as Hughes has often said, we need to be braver on the ball and I read that as playing too safe by passing back for the sake of it.

For me it’s one of the reasons we let teams back into the game because more often than not we looked panicked and not in control of the play.

It would be a brave manager to drop a player who has scored 12 goals already this season, and it just isnt going to happen anytime soon, despite what Fordy keeps telling us.

Definitely an OG, but it showed where Sutton does have value - his energy and directness in running in behind and beyond our strikers causes mayhem and penetrates the opposition. That, he can do, and do well.

Game of two Half's for me.
Feel like we throw it away cheaply after such a good start.
City's penalties were dire apart from Dion's and to be perfectly honest Leicester deserved something out of an entertaining game.

    Great game to be at.
I thought we played well and the kind of 3-2-3-1 formation that we were attempting to play looked ok in spells.
The side with Young on it naturally wasn't as good as defending as Hendrie's side and vice versa when attacking.
Sutton in the midfield anchor role kept interchanging with East who was nice and tidy as usual but as always a little lightweight.
The 3 centre backs were solid enough with Odusina on his more natural right side looking a lot better than when on the left side against Wimbledon.
Oliver up front again showing that if the service is good then his heading ability is fantastic.
2 decent balls 1st half yielding a goal and an effort well saved by the keeper.
Harratt was busy as always trying his hardest but you could say he tries too hard which leads to him being a bit erratic.
Lewis in goal again showing off his distribution skills and as it was quiet last night you could really hear him and Songo'o barking out the orders.
Angol looked good strong in the middle playing behind Oliver.
    Leicester's young lads were decent.
I kept saying that 2nd half they would come good as they were supremely fit and as shown against Burton, they looked stronger in the last 30 mins and scored twice.
We had our chances, Young smacked a free kick against the bar and their keeper pulled off a few saves to deny Harratt and Gilliead.
Good minutes for those who needed them and extra minutes for Crichlow after missing a few weeks recently.
Not concerned by the penalties at the end.
The bonus point was a good reward for the Leicester lads who stood up well to the challenge we gave them and showed exactly what they can do.
An all round entertaining evening at VP.

The centre backs moving forward with the ball was a big highlight last night I thought.

Clearly with 3 centre backs it's probably less risky than in our usual set up but if you can get a ball carrier from the back it can be very useful to open spaces up as one of the opposition is dragged out to engage.

Harratt needs to calm down , he’s trying too hard and as a result…It’s aimless?

Sutton is a liability in the DM role. Tries to clever when he needs to keep it simple and far to eager to pass backwards when he receives it with a bit of space.

He's been superb. Amazing we've got this sort of depth this season, this is a player that doesn't even get on the bench most weeks.
