We weren't as bad. Second half was better, but we went from awful to average. First and only shot on target after 88 mins. Its not good enough, and Hughes needs to go.

 

Bobby Pointon is a good 'ol fashioned footballers name. Little wonder he's good.

 

I may well agree with you next Saturday if we line up with 3 at the back. Until then, I’ll give him benefit of time….

And no allowance made for Oduor, Cook, Pattison and Chapman coming back into the team? Tbh with Pointon properly in the mix now I'm convinced that when they come back in we'll be up there once we ride out this tricky spell.

 

Anybody who called for Adams head had better be doing the same for Hughes, unless they prefer his interviews that is. Can recall 3-4 decent performances last season. None this so far.

He's had time. 2 years.

 

A better second half, but after that first half it would have been difficult not to be. Still can't see where the performances and results are coming from if it's supposed to be the season that equals or improves on last season.

 

Anyone saying 2nd half was better than first. That's like saying we were dreadful 1st half but slight less dreadfully 2nd half and that's acceptable.

Hughes will say what a good point that is blame heat/injuries etc....obviously no blame attached to his dreadful formation every game

 

On that performance you have to question the effort and preparation the manager and his assistant do tactically and selection wise.

 

I've watched us under Hughes for 2 years and the consistent themes are, we're awful to watch, he's stubborn in his approach, we can't move the ball from back to front, he sticks with things that don't work, and any 'successes' we have are largely down to Cook doing it on his own. This isn't about a tricky spell or a couple of players missing. My view is based on 2 years as a whole which for me, is long enough. There isn't enough there, and every game he stays is time wasted.

 

Has there ever been a manager we've had been allowed to sign the number of players hughes has...11 this summer god knows how many last season lost count
