Absolute shocking performance.. Cook awol and back to his usual sulking pass the ball to my feet self… not sure why he stayed on for the full 90.. needs dropping again

 

How did either team get through that without a red, I know referees get bad press at times but that clown deserved all he got.

 

I thought we improved immensely when the subs came on and Gilliead moved to midfield.
I was impressed with Wilson, who was loads better than Wright who he replaced. I always like a winger who takes on opponents and drives with the ball. I hope he has done enough for Alexander to give him more game time.

 

Well I have to agree Andy Cook was poor tonight, you have to wonder how we can run the game against League One Wycombe and play so poorly tonight very frustrating, Cook was poor but Kavanagh and Wright were no better, bewildering to say the least.

 

He must wear cricket pads at home as he just keeps running into defenders. His coffee table must be battered to hell.

 

It has all been said about the officials, so I won’t comment further. We started poorly and didn’t really pick up until the last 20 minutes when the subs came on. I agree with @Faithful Bantam on his comments about midfield. Not only do I think we should have gone out and purchased a really good midfielder who can drive the game forward, it should have been done last season. McDonald cannot replace either Smallwood or Gilly as he can’t play the full 90. We just don’t have a replacement. I think Gilly plays great as a wing back or winger and provides much more width, but he has to be put in midfield because we just do not have a replacement. Oduor is much better being part of the front three.
A draw was a fair result, Doncaster looked like an energetic good team.

 

13 days between games and that’s the best they can serve up. Abysmal performance by us, got an extremely fortunate equaliser, struggled throughout against a relatively shite team, very disjointed throughout. Poor match further spoiled by yet another clueless and dire referee

Praying to god that Saturday is better. Well let’s face it, can’t be any worse?

Personally feel that was our last chance of the play offs

 

Not sure why chapoers isnt starting.. maybe next match we should start with the team that finished tonight.

 

Stubbs, Wright, Cook, KMac and Kavanagh should have all been brought off at half time.
It was clear who were performing and who weren't.
Subs made a massive difference.

 

All the forwards were poor tonight because we had no control in midfield hence they were feeding on scraps. In fact I can't recall Kavanagh even touching the ball in the first half and Wright not much more. Totally wrong formation tonight, which is bewildering because it looked like GA was finally understanding these players strengths and finding the formation to suit them. Baffling!

 

That alone was embarrassing tonight if your not competitive for second balls then you'll struggle just as we saw tonight. Very disappointed with Andy Cook tonight if by playing Andy we just go long there has to be an argument to drop him which no team should be doing with regards your clubs top scorer, Odour was nowhere near the player who controlled the Wycombe game, fair does to Doncaster when out of possession they got tight and Odour either played it square or passed it back, so many poor performances tonight.

Bang on, looking at the stats you'd think it was a right battle but he let stuff go that were defiantly fouls then blew up and gave a yellow for something and nowt, he has to be right up there with regards the worst we've seen at Valley Parade.

 

Well if we are to make a challenge for a play off place Saturdays game at Accrington becomes a must win, games are running out.

 

Fortunate point on the balance of 90 minutes play. The starting XI just left us so unbalanced. Should have started with Richards with AG in midfield but hey, what do I know!!!

Little positives to take away from tonight, with the play offs over, few chances created, disjointed and midfield that was far too light that ultimately led us going long (hoof) and giving up possession, time after time. Lacked composure and Donny harassed and were incisive when they attacked. Truly I believe, if they had a marksman, they would have been out of sight.

So another season of failure under our terrible owner means more khazi league football ultimately next time out.
Falling attendances (c 8k there tonight), apathy towards the owner and RS, a terrible pitch, a bloated squad and more 4th division football visiting the likes of Harrogate and Crawley in this tenure of Rupp.

Please Rupp , sell our football club, you really have been part and the main reason, the last 7 years have been awful.

 

Bang on the money. The lack of available central midfielders killed us tonight. MacDonald isolated without legs around him and moving Oduor to a deeper central role negates everything he's been doing well the last month or so. Credit to Doncaster, they look a better side than the one thats struggled for most of this season and to be fair they deserved the three points. I thought Adam Wilson looked sharp when he came on but then thats what Clarke Oduor should have been doing all game if he hadn't been picked in another position.
I guess a point gained if your looking for positives from a poor performance but really needed the three tonight.

 

I think the change of position didn't help Odour Bronco, we had some average performances tonight but the defending for the Doncaster goal was really poor

 

Not very enjoyable. McDonald/Oduor was (predictably) a bit of a horror show in central midfield, probably the weakest combo I could imagine. Defensive quintet did okay (3 CB's, Halliday, Gilliead), attacking quintet was woeful.

Referee was terrible, in particular, how do you book a player for wasting time (around a minute) then not add any of that minute on? Absolutely ridiculous, indefensible, completely illogical nonsense from another inept official.

Wasn't a fan of the boos at half time, and didn't think even the referee had earned them at that point - but you can tell the NW corner and fans around there are very poor and boo every single time we're not winning at half time. Dreadful support.

 

See Steve, some thought the time was a positive, a chance to give energy to tired legs. What it actually did was knock us out of our stride, a stride that saw us put good perfomances together.
