The capability is clearly there, it's is just either being restrained, or the team need a kick up the arse from the management

Tuesday night against Swindon showed that we have to have a plan B, today's game against the worst team to vist Valley parade this season: Crawley, only emphasis the situation.

Not true, for two of their four corners they had someone on the halfway line marking Cook and another halfway between there and the box.

 

Hughes' post match interview sounds arrogant.

He knows that teams know how to play against us but won't change because he knows they know he's right???

Absolutely. East is very comfortable in possession and was excellent at Salford but hasn’t played since. Which is strange. I might buck the trend but though Gilleard an offered more than Smallwood today. I understand he fecked up for the free kick but both are so similar and the movement ahead was so static that I do feel for them a bit.

 

Give over that's a big part of Cooks game as it was in Hanson's day, defending corners in our box, Cook has never been used as our "out ball" standing on the half way line when we're defending corners hardly our fastest player, nor did I see any other Bradford City player near the half way line when we've defended corners, it just doesn't make sense to have someone like Wright or Pereira in the box defending corners apart from numbers in the box, but there must be some logic in it as most teams do it.

 

Can't disagree Mart. I think Smallwood is critical to how successful we are but he was shite today. There was little to no linking the attack and defence, which is kinda essential when passing from your own goal line.

 

Let's put a bit of perspective on it. We are on track for 82 points, more if we get consistency, we've lost three in 16, won half out games and not concedes a league goal from open play in the last four matches.

On the negative side, we fart around at the back far too much, play too much sideways football and rely too much on Andy Cook.

We can't do much about Orient and Fatboy FC running away with it, but Northampton are there to be taken

Cook was on the halfway line for two of their fours corners, both in the second half. Dont give a toss if you didn't see it, but fact is he was.

 

All it takes is for a team to press us and our passing games limitations show up. Swindon decided to wait 45 minutes before trying this tactic, Crawley went from the off and it proved a success.

Jon’s point in my opinion sums up the game perfectly, too many players had a bad game today against a team that had a game plan and it highlighted the deficiencies of the current setup.
We need to realise that teams will come to Valley Parade and raise their game, we need to play at 120% each week to counter it. It’s the only way we will get out of this division.

I'm not surprised we are 6th in the league and despite the last 2 results we've been going well. He will be annoyed because he knows we should have taken 6 points not 2 but he can't come out and chuck Gilly under the bus but he was at fault for the equaliser and I'm sure he knows it.
