I’ve just been listening to Hughes on West Yorkshire sport Twitter feed so he must have appeared later.

 

Similar to my earlier post, I feel Hughes is not allowing our more technical players to express themselves because of his ridged formations, there may be a time in the game a player feels the team could be better served if the odd chance pass was played but feels if they do and it doesn't come off then Hughes would question why safety first football was not played, he has said keeping possession until the correct pass can be played is the right way to play, no at times IMO we need to take on the chance pass, or we become far too predictable as we see.

 

I thought it was the first half as we played towards the Kop he was only on a minute or so second half.

You need to get over this idea that Cook is some Kylian Mbappe regen who can create the opportunity himself. The man is a natural poacher, and a very good one at this level provided he gets the service. There’s 9 other outfield players on that pitch wearing Claret & Amber an they aren’t doing their jobs as the ball is barely going into the opposition box.

How does he expect us to win when non of our defenders cross the halfway line and we have 3 defensive minded midfielders on the pitch

He also had Eisa playing as the 10, behind Cook, which is fecking stupid as Eisa’s main attributes are pace an running into goal scoring positions. He also then put Castelloe on who clearly had no set position, until Banks came on an we had to revert to 4-2-3-1. Not that it mattered anyways because Ridehalgh refused to pass the ball to him
