For me, that's kind of the point; if we're talking about the need for freeze frames and screen resolution to be sure, there's enough doubt to make it a marginal call.

Still think their pen was soft, but I can also understand why it was given.

I couldn't bring myself to really get angry with the ref - he's the wrong target. Our performance was far more damning. Zero shots on target second half, everyone back to defend corners even at 2-1 down, poor performances across the pitch, poor use and choice of substitutions, Chapman continually being a bigger threat to row Z than the goal when shooting, Sutton being a headless chicken, sloppy defenders, Smallwood being wayward.

Far more to complain about - that we're in control of - than the ref.

Hughes interview is a total cop out. Rapidly losing faith in him tbh.

So when we win with only half stadium, is that because they won despite lack of fans support? It is ludicrous to blame the fans in any way for what we are seeing. We have all invested thousands over the years.

 

I wonder if MH will apologise to the ref and admit the ref actually got the penalty denial correct. I won't hold my breath. It was an easy way out of deflecting too much criticism away from his players

 

I, like yourself, didn't turn up last and neither of us have to justify ourselves to anyone. We all have our reasons, what they are are of.no concern to anyone else.

 

He's a strange one for sure, as @Rogered Tart posted we had spoken on Sunday with regards the Rochdale game but he's 100 % correct I don't need a note from my mum to explain to anyone why I've not attended on the night.

Exactly. We didn’t attend either, not because we didn’t want to go, but trying to take care as we get older. Like you we have done plenty of the rain, snow and freezing conditions whilst watching city. Will leave it to the younger ones. I have a season ticket so they have had my money, not to mention a parking ticket in a place I didn’t sign up to. What the club need to worry about is whether the fans will turn up at all next season! You have to make the decision easy for them, serving up last nights effort will not entice fans to make that decision when there are so many competing demands.

 

I seriously don’t get why fans not turning up made some kind of difference ......... I have been to the majority of games this season but I ain’t gonna blame anyone who doesn’t want to venture down there to be disappointed with yet another gutless performance ............. this club have been fortunate with the gates they are still getting ............ cheap tickets or not your still having to pay out £200 for dross and it’s getting to that point where thousands will just give up on it

The problem I have with MH having a go at the ref is that lets the players go down the same feeling sorry for themselves and viewing every decision as wrong. When clearly they are not. That is what we saw last night, players feeling sorry for themselves. What we want them to think is despite a dodgy refs decision, we are Bradford City, and no one gets out of VP on an easy ride. We are looking soft, they just gave up. MH needs to stop it, he needs to reinforce the ‘never say die’ attitude, you dig in and roll your sleeves up and play for the team.

 

We did that in the previous two matches which is why last night was so disappointing

 

I feel like we’ve been missing that for a life time, give or take a couple of years!
