Most likely will be the very last thing on his mind unfortunately

He put out a sad tweet last week about visiting A&E a couple of times due to falls, and showed pics of his gashed head. Cruel bloody disease, He appears to be fighting it with every ounce and is doing amazing considering how long ago his diagnosis was. I'm sure I speak for all our fans that our hearts go out to the lad

Miserable git, you have no idea of the positives for the team tonight.
Strikers scoring, winning habit, valuable game time for players returning from injury, more chance for GA to assess his options etc
If you have no interest fair enough but don't belittle it for the players and the fans that did go - its all about trying to build a momentum

It might not be the most glamorous competition but our manager has already tasted a Wembley appearance with Salford and if last night's performance is anything to go by he's hungry for more.
Alexander clearly motivates the team from the technical area in an upright position which is great to see after the bum sitting, arm folding demeanor of past managers tin pot or not Graham wouldn't appear to think so long may his obvious enthusiasm continue.
I'm not getting carried away it's early days in his tenure but he's shown already there is a tune to be played with a squad assembled who I thought couldn't string two passes together let alone carry out over complicated instructions under the previous manger.
Keep it simple the Alexander way, it's actually entertaining to watch and something we've missed for a while.

Professional foul is a one match ban, not three. Three matches is for violent conduct. So he’s only suspended for the Salford game.

Great win, another good performance. I think we have the right man in charge now. Despite it being a tinpot competition against kids, he didn't let the players take their foot off the gas! Smith is like a new player under GA. Richards now looks up to speed with recent game time, Pattison is back, and Oliver looks like a handful from the bench again...

Four wins in a row... tactics have been spot on. I'm starting to feel optimistic again!

Some decent stuff on display tonight both from a team and individual performance perspective.

Considering the opposition were from the crème of the crop of their age group, it literally was men against boys. As they say you can only beat what’s in front of you. Did Lewis have a save?

6-7 wouldn’t have gone amiss if it wasn’t for their excellent keeper and some slovenly finishing.

Smallwood was excellent again, he’s a different player since GA arrived, Walker all over the place and impressive.
Oliver, Pattison and once he found his feet Thompkinson had either decent sub appearances or starts .
Oliver needs serious consideration for the weekend?

Their number 50 was Ben Doak?
He's played three times for the first team and played 7 times for Scotland U21's despite being 18. The longer term plan for him is he takes over from Salah.
They signed him from Celtic for £600k.
He's going to be some player.

Try having Kriss Akabusi sat directly behind you for two seasons

Call me a sad bugger but I’m looking forward to this game. Think we showed vs Man City we’re taking this competition seriously and it is another opportunity to keep winning momentum going and to make it a habit.

This comp has helped Smith find his form and will be an opportunity for some of the other lads to stake a claim for a start in the league.

Stubbs needs to get a solid 90 behind him and Chapman and Wilson need minutes. Cook needs a few more goals too - not just from the spot - to regain his swagger.

Him and Patto have come on and are very busy.

Great to see Pattison back on the pitch.

Great day at the office. All 3 strikers scoring, regardless of the competition when was the last time that happened?! Patto looked sharp when he came on. 4 goals, clean sheet and players getting minutes coming back from injury and being out of favour. Just need to give Salford a stuffing now. GA against a former club, he’ll have them well up for it.

Another fantastic result for match fitness and competition for places. A brilliant morale-boosting win

We are gonna tear Salford apart on Saturday if we play with the same composure and slickness. Yeah yeah I know, it was the U21’s and they had 10 men, but you still have to beat what is put in front of you, and we did that with ease

Also when was the last time we had 16 shots on goal in a competitive game?! It is boding extremely well, I might even go to the next BSM game….:D

Despite letting in 4 goals, I think their keeper had a blinder too, credit where it is due. Some of the saves that kid pulled off were very impressive

GA has to be eyeing this trophy at this point.

It's not one many of us give a shit about, but any cup would be an achievement in his first season at the club.

I still wouldn't bother going to Wembley though.
