Nice idea but displays like this only work when the Kop is full. If not then there are gaps in it.

 

True Benito but I suspect the kop might well be full for the opener.

 

Great idea!

Anything we can do, as fans, to make this season feel like a big 'un - and hopefully, we ride a wave of optimism right the way to League One.

It won't be easy, but if we can start off making a statement, who knows?

Nice idea. If we get around 17,000 upwards then the KOP will be full enough to create the right effect.

 

Just put a Claret or Amber coloured A4 card on every seat and those who have an unoccupied seat next to them pick up two cards.

 

Good plan, but what if you have four empty seats next to you ?

 

Those querying a partially-empty stand and whether this would work;

There’s around 5,800 season ticket holders in the Kop for next season. The first 3 rows will be cordoned off as usual - this equates to almost 450 seats. This leaves circa 1,500 seats available. With POTD, given it’s the season opener, I don’t anticipate to see many empty seats in the Kop against Doncaster.

 

Get enough in from Queensbury and there'll be more than enough fingers to hold up the cards.

Regardless of the attendance against Doncaster nothing surprises me with some fans want this to fail.
Seems the Guy's at City Vent are trying their best and should be applauded for their efforts.
Personally I hope it works but it's simple if you don't want to partake then don't leave the card on an the empty seat, after all it's not the end of the world is it and some folk might find it challenging holding up more than one card.
