Bradford City Isolation League 2020

    Trying to put together some meat on the bare bones of an idea:

    With many people on here either being told to go into a long period of isolation, or choosing to do so themselves, not to mention everyone missing their footy fix, I've come up with an idea to help make the isolation and the absence of football pass a little bit easier.
    1. We come up with a fixture list of past City matches to 'kick off' at 3pm each Saturday. Matches should preferably be ones that many people have on DVD or ones that can be viewed (in full or in part) on places like You Tube.
    2. Between 1pm and 3pm we have a match build up and a chance for people to discuss the 'forthcoming' match, maybe whilst having a drink or two in our 'virtual' pub.
    3. Between 3pm and 5 pm we encourage everyone to watch the match if they can and/or discuss the game itself.
    4. From 5pm to 6pm we can have a post match analysis, vote for a man of the match etc.
    Anyone think this is worth going with?

    If so:
    • we need suggestions for matches?
    • any ideas/changes to the above set up?
    • when should we kick off?

    We could also have other ideas on how to pass our time. Netflix is good, however that might get boring, so suggestions and games during the week would be good.

    Could we have VAR as well?
    We could have a virtual referee who will give a VAR decision eg when we actually have a shot can we ask VAR if it WAS a shot or just a mistake?

    I was talking to a guy today who told me ,because football had stopped he had to start talking to his wife. He found out she had been made redundant when Woolworth collapsed

    No virtual beer for me. As I head into the void (4 months or so of isolation) it will be with a good supply of liquid refreshment.
