My hope is that when some pressure built and we subsequently had announcements about extra funding, not being good enough, David Sharpe etc they took the view of 'let's see.'

That has to be the approach for now.

It's not I'd love to be wrong but I wouldn't put a penny on us getting promoted right now.

 

So we'll have a playable pitch and someone in at the club running things that actually has a background in running a football club? Seems like the bare minimum to me. I will give you buying the ground is going to cost but it isn't done yet is it we'll see if it happens. Be happy with it if you like im not knocking anyone but it's not the kind of investment people are after. They want to see players brought in that are genuinely exciting and capable of getting promoted.

 

Well the squad once Alexander took over showed play off form. And we now have Sarcevic Young and Pattison available so there is no reason we shouldn’t be competing

 

Fully agree, most fans i have spoke too were under the illusion that most of this supposed investment was for the team

 

I get that I'm happy to see Pattison back he clearly has quality same for Wright hes good on his day. I'm not really that excited about Sarcevic if I'm honest. I still question why Young wasn't part of the squad when Hughes was here. We've lost Platt and Tomkinson and I don't think we've got similar quality in to replace them.

 

That squad you mention has lost 2/3 of the back three and have been replaced with dross.

Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome back to pre-season. We have taken a break during the off season because A) we were all knackered after last season B) we needed to have a break because it grinds you down and C) we needed to allow the club to progress on the promises they made following the letter and protest. We are pleased that the fans forum happened and that Rupp was present and has been a little more visible. We are currently watching what the club does during this pre-season, and monitoring whether promises are being kept. Question marks currently exist over the investment promised and I am sure it will be another dramatic season at Valley Parade again. For now, call out what you are seeing, keep giving us your views and let's hope for a fantastic, drama free, season.
