I rang that number and the lady on the other end said "your not a Bradford City supporter by any chance are you" then burst into tears for some reason ?.
You're old school mate, nothing a mug of Horlicks and a good nights sleep won't put it right.

I would. The reason we made POs was due to the declining standard of the division. Like Peter Taylor, Mark has made a lot of signings, the majority of which have been poor. January was once again a disaster. By losing just 1 player, we ended the month weaker. How many times have we subbed an attacker for a defender and conceded late goals? Surely, when you make a mistake, you should learn from it. 10 years ago, we won the play offs. How many of today's team would have contested that team? Goalie maybe! Our CEO has shown he is happy to shit on 3000 loyal fans. Not only that, he compromised the safety of handicapped fans in Midland Rd. His excuse? He gave them a few days warning he couldn't guarantee their safety. Not progress for me.

Rupp hanging around till he gets his money back has zero interest in the club.

Wish fgs he would just cut his losses and leave. Like he's doing everyone a favour when he graves is with his presence at a few home games a season.

Sparks has gone mute unless he's got something to sell like the Spanish friendly trip.

Spot on. We have no one in the front office who can take the manager -- whomever he might be -- to task / ask him to explain/justify his decisions / give him a rollicking when deserved and be credible when doing so, because we have no one with the requisite football experience. As others have posted, even up a few posts, and as I have said in the past, there really should be a restructuring of the club's hierarchy to include a DoF / General Manager / VP Football Matters (whatever you want to call the position) to whom the manager is answerable.

    Good morning happy clappers.

I had a cracking day yesterday... I didn't let the football get me down.

Having said that.... We've got a lot of dead wood failures to get out of the door.

I don’t think the season has been completely a failure, somehow we seem to be attracting more fans that has to be a positive and we have improved our league position from last season.
However the performance on the pitch particularly at home has been hard to watch at times. I don’t want Hughes out as we have had too much churn recently, I do hope he has learned and builds a more positive team for next season, too many players have underperformed either because they are afraid or because of the coaching and tactics

I don’t think Lewis would get in goal in front of Jonny Mac, just saying

The hierarchy is the thing hindering us the most.
The head of recruitment last summer was a positive but we have an absent owner and an inexperienced CEO trying to hold it together on his own. I think Ryan is doing as best he can tbh and in certain aspects off the pitch things have definitely improved. The football side still doesn’t feel right to me and Hughes imo will be untouchable. I can’t see either Ryan or Rupp questioning anything he does.

I have often said I don’t care about the way the club plays as long as it is effective. Football is simple to score more than the opposition to do that it stands to reason you need the ball and players In goal scoring areas as much of the time as you can. Under Hughes the possession has been the highest we have ever had and yet the goals for is very poor.
I also question his number 2 who came here with a reputation as a dead ball specialist and judging by our set plays he has been a massive failure in that area.
If kHughes was to persist with the tactics he needs to bring in players who can make it work. I fear next season will be repeat if the same.

You fear it will be the same.
If both are still leading us what do you expect a different direction tactically.
    No chance

I asked, how is it up to us. Please explain how we, as ordinary fans, are somehow to blame and what you think we should be doing to change things.
Simply moaning all the time, as you do, is pointless. What is your recipe for change?

I agree, I read often how we've made progress, finishing 6th in a weak L2, having a 30+ goal striker is not progress, it abject failure.
We'll see next season exactly what progress we've made if we lose Cook.
MH's sadly doesn't cut the mustard for a whole host of reasons, main one is his negative mindset.
We seeing already little indications of what's coming by his retained list, Cook aside the players he's offering deals to smacks of mid-table(ism) at best.
The frustration of squandering season after season in L2 is tangible

I dont think the club have done anything wrong - as far as I see it - progress was made on Adams, just not as much as we had wished for. There are a lot of improvements and positives to take from this season.

The failure lies with Mark Hughes and his coaching team IMO. That said, he is still new to this division and he gets another crack at it for me.

Disaster no, disappointment yes. You said no chance of play offs, I said promotion, Looks like we were both wrong.

I agree Yen. What is so frustrating is that we have “wasted” Cook’s brilliant contribution this year, he might never achieve that record 28 league goals again. The retained list as you say fills me with more apprehension. MH went the pragmatic route, and this where we are now. We have players who for whatever reason have not been used. The Board need to be asking questions as it limits our ability to retain players we need.

If your CEO has limited football knowledge, you need somebody who can ask the above questions. There are times when you cannot go all out attack, but I have seen us lose or draw when we should have been attacking this season.

Progress has been made, but not enough. Next season is key, and failure to go up (and improve on 6th) would see me saying Hughes has to go. I might be saying it earlier if Smallwood & Gilliead rock up as our centre midfield.

Two and a bit season's is a fair crack of the whip. Nobody could grumble with that.
It would be an obvious way of doing it as so many players OOC next summer too.
