    Following the decision to give Stuart McCall an extended contract, I thought I'd see what everyone's views are on where we'll be at the end of next season, assuming Stuart remains as manager.

    Remember this vote is for NEXT SEASON, 2021/22.

    EDIT: I didn't include League One in the poll, but if anyone believes we will be competing in League One next season, please feel free to say so, in a post and, when I've finished laughing, I'll add a voting option.
    EDIT 2: As someone asked for League One, I've now added it to the options.

    IIRC weren't Crystal Palace bottom of the table at Christmas but went on to be promoted that season? You know you have to add it now. ;)

    I believe Crystal Palace hold the Football League record; 2003/04, 19th in the Championship at Christmas, promoted via the play offs.

    And I believe Crewe Alexandra hold the League Two record; 2011/12, 14th at Christmas, promoted via the play offs.

    The stats are extremely worrying. The points total required to stay up has been over 40 for the last ten seasons bar one. In most of those seasons it's been well above 40 (45+). Our current projection sees us on about 40. When you factor in our recent form it looks fecking bleak. The biggest fear as a City fan that I've ever had is falling out of the football league. Relegation happen as part of the trials and tribs of supporting a club but this would be devastating.

    Well, so far the voting is split.

    Apart from 1 person who thinks Stuart will turn it around and get us promoted this season, of the other 46 votes:
    • 23 think we'll stay up this season. Of those:
      • 5 think we'll get promoted to League One next season;
      • 17 think we'll stay in League Two next season; and
      • 1 thinks we'll get relegated to the National League next season.
    • 19 think we'll get relegated to the National League this season. Of those:
      • No one thinks we'll bounce straight back to League Two;
      • 17 think we'll stay in the National League next season; and
      • 2 think we'll suffer a second successive relagation down to the National League North.
    • A further 4 think we'll go under before the end of next season. I'm guessing they think that will be as a result of getting relagated this season.
    So, in summary, 23 think we'll survive as a League Two side and 23 think we won't.
