Its highly improbable that an "Effective Boycott" of home games could be achieved. No matter how bad things get ticket holders will no doubt attend home games albeit in reduced numbers. So achieving a meaningful boycott at home is unlikely. However it could be achieved in away games by simply not buying tickets and that's an "easy decision" we could all make for ourselves without recourse. As much as you admire the stoicism of those that made the long trip to Gills there's also the feeling that it was a "march of the lemmings" so futile was the prospects of anything from the game. And so it proved.

But starting from Peterborough A. a week Saturday there should be a complete boycott by City fans. It would be a significant public statement to 1.The Regime 2.The Players 3.The Wider Football Public. So this one is really down to us let's just abandon this bunch of wasters to themselves and show them that we are not prepared to invest more time and money on the shambles our club has become.

Are we all up for this ?

Hmm, it's not really fair on the host team, since they get all the money for ticket sales.

But to be honest, I don't know what you'd whittle it down to? 200-300 fans who won't not go no matter what?

We need something that affects OUR finances, not hitting random sides - though I suppose if we carry on the way we are, the number of fans travelling will dwindle anyway...

    How FAR have we sunk?

Take your point about fairness to the home side. But the clear message needs to be got across that we're not prepared to go on blindly wasting time and money on this useless bunch of losers and they're in it on their own!

Our away attendance has fallen away significantly this season..so no need for formal boycott, it's happening already.

    Depends on the intent.

If home gates are still strong, will our owners give a sh*t? Doesn’t hurt them financially.

It wouldn’t get anywhere near as much press as a near empty VP.

The point for me is that we have to show the owners that the only is for them to leave, because the club won’t be financially viable.

If numbers continue to turn up at home, they’ll realise that however shite things are, they can continue to serve up more shite.

The strongest possible message is a home boycott.

And if people want to still ‘support the team’, turn up in numbers away. The money doesn’t go to us.

A vast drop off in home gates, whilst away attendances rise..... that’d be a powerful message.

Agree VP needs to empty out. There would never ever have been a clearer display of protest anywhere in football than if at a game not ONE SINGLE home fan rocked up! But the point is that the message needs to be that we're no longer prepared to back this useless pile of dross anywhere any longer!

I gave up after the Accrington away game.
Not really bothered who else it impacts financially, all I know is I'm better off in the pocket and I don't have the stress and frustration anymore.
Following your team away from home should be enjoyable even if you lose.
The team just don't turn up so why should I.
Never felt so alienated by a group of players.
They give jack shit on the road never mind at home and that's getting a labour of love.

Just for a bit of light humour anyone who was planing to go peterbourgh a week on Saturday won't be seeing city play anyway as we are at Aldershot in fa cup.

I'm not going to VP but I'll be at Peterborough. Always enjoy my day out there.Thinking of Aldershot too, that may be the day it really goes belly up.

Forget it - away games will never achieve a full boycott.

There are too many people who go to away days just for the piss up and a day out with their mates, they'll never stop doing that whether we're in L1, L2, NL etc..

There is also a large element of our support who will follow the club away because it's their main hobby in life and it keeps them going having an away trip to look forward to, see a new place, tick off a new stadium, go on a nice trip etc. And rightly so.

There are too many variables where people enjoy away trips more than the actual football for this to succeed and therefore it would not succeed.

We are likelier to achieve more effective results boycotting home games to the point there's only a couple thousand in the ground than achieving results boycotting away games.

Very strange. You will not travel 3 miles down the road from Thackley to watch us, but prepared to travel all the way to Posh and Aldershot to watch us, bizarre to say the least

Aldershot we will be fine - why? Because our head of recruitment was scouting them yesterday and we all know what a good eye for decent players he has.

My position has been clear for months, it's strange that youv'e only just noticed it? I am not giving these owners any of my cash.

Already got rail and match tickets for Peterborough, so I'll be going to that one. But I've stopped buying advance rail tickets, so it won't be long before I'll be asking myself if I'm really prepared to keep forking out to watch the inevitable under this current regime.

But have you not bought a ST, if so, you've already given them your money for this season. If not, fair enough.

I suspect though, if we drew Man Utd in the 3rd round of the cup in January, you would be giving them your money. Yes, I know that's a massive outside chance, but you get my drift.
It's a very bold statement to stick to.

I hate what the owners have done as much as any other fan, but they will not deprive me of supporting Bradford City
