Looks like they've annoyed the president of Turkey as well?

To say that Forest Green Rovers are not happy with Bolton Wanderers and/or their Chairman/Owner, Ken Anderson, is a bit of an understatement:

Stopped a basket case club dropping out of the FL.
Got us promoted to L1 in the same season as taking a 3rd Div team to a major cup final, beating three PL teams along the way.
Got us to the quarter finals of the FA Cup, beating Chelsea at Stamford Bridge - the only team to win there all season in any competition.
Year on year league position improvement in every season he was here, culminating in establishing us as a L1 playoff team.
All luck. Obviously.rmbenson007, Allotment Bantam and Idlebantam like this. -

What FGR could do however is seek a winding up order for Bolton from the courts but that really is the nuclear option. If the court accepts the wuo application, the club's owners would have to settle the debt with FGR (and whoever else is involved with the wuo application) or the club would be liquidated after 7 days! And who knows then what assets could be sold to pay off the debts. Usually the threat of a wuo is enough to bring the debtor to the bargaining table. But that may not be successful in Anderson's case as I suspect he will already have secured his own debts on the club's assets as most owners do and thus be first in line to be paid out by the official receiver!
This case should be an enormous embarrassment for the EFL since it appears Anderson has stuck two fingers up to them at every turn. They didn't learn their lesson when the transfer embargo was first invoked and haven't come down hard enough on the club since then. The EFL could for example have stopped their payments to Bolton for TV rights and solidarity payments and paid FGR directly but don't appear to have gone down this route for whatever reason. The other EFL chairmen should imo be insisting on changes to this whole process but I doubt very much whether that will ever happen.Allotment Bantam and Damo like this. -

The FL has allowed Bolton to cheat their way to L1 promotion by signing players they couldn't afford, get away with not paying players several times, fail to pay transfer fees on time, sign expensive PL players on loan whilst under transfer embargo, etc etc ad nauseum.
It's hard to escape the conclusion that Bolton's status as an ex PL club and one of the county's oldest football clubs has bought them a degree of leniency that would never be afforded to most other clubs. Even their own fans are saying that they've become an embarrassment to the game.
It seems that Bolton are part of the old boys network and the football authorities will go to almost any lengths to avoid them going into administration, as they surely should have by now.Allotment Bantam and Onside like this. -
Re Parky, I meant more a case of him walking. Surely he’d get a decent offer from somewhere?Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...Onside likes this. -
Yeah for some reason he never seems to be in the running. He’s great at reviving clubs. For a while I’ve thought he’d be perfect at Villa.
I also expected Reading to go for him recently and I think he’d have been a decent candidate for the Wednesday job. It wouldn’t surprise me if one of the clubs relegated from this seasons championship go for him. Maybe Ipswich?Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... not surprised Parky hasn't had any decent offers, everyone's noticed that he's a terrible manager

I love Parkinson but I think you get him in to revive a club as the style of play will never win over the fans.

Losing at home to Walsall in the cup today too. Wouldn’t be surprised if Parkinson wasn’t there before too long.
