again Jon, it's not the losing of matches that is the most depressing thing - losing happens in football. it's the manner and performances that go along with the loss that's worrying.

Bolton's manager tore shreds off their 'keeper at the weekend, he's bound to be nervous and anxious coming into the game.. and what happens? we give him the easiest 45mins he's probably going to have in his career. if you are finding positives in this performance, please tell us what they are. it's awful.

 

This Crawford is so bad at finishing he might not get into our team.

The worst thing for the club at moment is fans are losing interest at an alarming rate, I lost interest a few seasons ago but Im seeing it now from every City fan I know.

 

Was at a castle yesterday with loads of torture equipment to view. My wife thought I was going mad, laughing to myself. I was just imagining Edin in them all.

 

There's no ground to be covered. He's a metre away from Watt. Look where he is when Watt heads the ball. He can jump and close that gap and catch the ball.

 

Guthrie is truly dreadful. The decision to spend money on him is dumbfounding. And if we have indeed turned away offers to take him, that’s as bad if not worse. But he’s not alone. We’re stacked full of players who simply aren’t good enough, and there isn’t balance. The only players I’d have any time for taking into next season would be Wood, POC, Watt, Cooke, Pritchard and possibly Novak. And some of those would only be squaddies and most would need to be much more consistent. The young lads in their breakthrough season get a pass, obviously. No idea what to make of most of them, but there’s no way we should be relying on any.

We need a huge rebuild from the top down. 75% of the squad needs to change, the manager needs to change, the CEO needs to change and the Owner needs to either change, or more ambitiously back a trusted CEO. We’re a fundamentally broken club.

Just wait though, you know who will be along shortly to tell us all how we’ve ‘only lost by a single goal to the pre-season favourites, and even then only by a mistake at the back and missed penalty’.

The problem is, Stuart has never been able to turn poor form around, we have been here before.

 

He's nearly made me give up on the club once before with the soulless team he created and he's right on the verge of pushing me to it again.

Imagine Bowyer or Hopkin coming to the interview after being 'nilled' by a team who previously only had 1 win, conceding a comedy goal and cemmenting our place in 15th in the bottom league and opening with....."there's no issue with the performance"

They would have been run out of town!!

 

Couldn't agree more about Connolly, as I bored everyone going on about him at the time. Appears we chose DMH who, regardless of what we are told, doesn't even seem particularly quick

 

But we LOST!

We've a manager that is TINKERING who fans are losing respect for and is starting to damage his reputation by talking utter nonsense and just looking like a poor football manager.

We've been here before when results are not good enough that McCall doesn't know what to do.

All our problems that are there that most fans know in June and we didn't address them. We lack pace, our forward line up isn't good enough or midfield lacks experience and our defence isn't poor.

I've lost faith but we can only hope.. IT'S NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!

 

Agree Staff, and I for one value Wetherby's match comments - not saying I totally agree with them but its a bit of balance to the total negative blitz of comments virtually everyone else is firing out, some of mine fall into that category last night.
Wetherby I am sure you will agree the shame is some of our more positive periods of play are unlikely to get the results they might deserve with this strike force, and the really damning part of this is since as far back as June this is no surprise to virtually everybody, apart from the manager!
