Blaming the officials is not the answer

We have altered the coaching staff a few times, particularly head coach, it's not making any difference.

It just isn't the main problem we have.

 

Who blamed the officials ?

 

The 3rd goal was legitimate and the ref from an angle directly BEHIND the player decided he had handballed it into the net. From my angle in the kop he chested it in.

 

Excuses by the weak.

We let in 4 goals and 2 goals down in 10 minutes.

The ref was shite but good teams still usually win or draw matches in spite of that. We are dire at the moment. Not sure what changing the manager again would do to help, although Hopkin can't complain if he is sacked. It looks to me like the problems start and end with these two clowns running the circus though.

 

Doesn't mean to say that we would have gone on to get an equaliser. At least if the goal stood we would have been in with a chance, no chance at 2-4 with a few minutes to play. When you are at the bottom these things seem to go against you. At least that's what they say.

 

Agree but at 3-4 we had a chance.

 

I started watching City 56/57 season and I thought I'd seen some poor teams but looking at the stats,the fact we recruited a whole new set of players without a manager,and the result is we have no defence,no midfield and no threat up front,I'd call that bloody incompetence!

In addition,we have players who get injured as soon as they're back and some we can't get back.You really can't believe this was possible,but it is....

 

2-0 down in ten minutes and you have no chance no matter what the ref does.

Trouble is,we score to get back in the game and then concede again straight away.It's what we do and it's beyond belief that lessons aren't learnt. Do the players give a damn?

 

Yes. Teams get very nervy when they throw away a 2 goal lead with minutes to play. Of course we'll never know.

 

They give a damn they just aren't playing very well, all shot through. Very leaky defence.

 

How many more changes can we make. We have had 4 managers, two completely different squads, and our downward spiral continues from last season to this. We have to accept there is something fundamentally wrong with our club. Sounds weird, but we have lost our soul, mojo, spark call it what you like but it has gone.

The changes we were assured at some weird Boxing Day appearance by R&R would be done in the club’s interest. We play competitive football at this club, or we used too. So how is our demise in the club’s interest, please can someone explain it to me.

 

Whatever is fundamentally wrong is a secret and it won't be rectified unless the root cause is identified and dealt with.

We were history makers a short while ago and now we are again,worst start to a season in 115 years!

 

Ref was awful, but not the reason we were 2-0 down so early. That's purely because we are crap. Would've been 2 down even sooner of it wasn't for O'Donnells save.

 

Live from kop, it did not look like handball. Watched this several times from opposing view, did not look like handball. A few half-hearted appeals from Coventry players suggest they probably all thought it was a goal. I still think it was a goal. Crap refereeing is no consolation for a crap display, though.

First time I've seen the "handball" as I left after the 3rd but how the ref can honestly give that is astounding. He's behind the player and is, at best, just guessing.

I'm certainly not blaming the ref for a defeat that was well deserved but decisions like that are a disgrace.
