the reeves / cullen comparison is a poor one.. people that think we had a realistic chance of signing cullen are the same that thought we could / were going to sign billy sharpe and bradley dack.

It wasn’t so much the not spending, but the ones brought in were totally wrong.
Butterfield (centre-mid and out of form), Clarke (similar to Payne, better days well and truly behind him), Woods (injury prone as proven), Anderson (centre-mid and out of form), O’Connor (worse than we have).

We put all our eggs in one basket unfortunately and that’s backfired massively.

we absolutely could have taken him on loan again, had we wanted to.

anyway - late to the party but I haven't been able to bring myself to think about Saturday's game until today - what an absolute f'kin disgrace. I am absolutely fuming with that 'performance'. those players bar possibly OB and Caddis are the biggest pile of unprofessional, prima donna, bottle-less cretins I've seen - and I've seen some poor poor football over the years.

I'm done this season. I aren't attending again before May. if the players that are paid a good wage to be there can't show up, then neither will I. I can't wait to see the end of this wretched season, and the back of these absolute wasters.

We need to move on and take relegation on the chin

I was pleased to see some fans cheering, albeit it sarcastically, every time Wright touched the ball to drown out the morons who booed him - we need to lick our wounds and realise worse things happen

I also thought Bowyer's after match comments were the best in years. It was similar to when Parky's team lost 5-0 at Hartlepool (or whatever it was). Without ever losing it in the interview, you could tell the Bowyer was absolutely aghast at the last 30 minutes

He's the right man for the job and with the wonderful benefit of hindsight we should have got him after Collins went. His taking off Payne was exactly the correct thing to do. Payne posed around for 45 minutes, in that 'I won't be here neat season' way you get with some at this time of year - well done for hauling him off

Before, people defend Payne -I did a few weeks ago, but the reality is he's done nothing since his been found out and hence more tightly marked. Clearly he's not as good as we thought he was

Don't really agree with that as he is a decent player but obviously doesn't have the bottle or fight to do it at when it's needed the most. Think that could be an attitude thing rather than ability.

Billy big balls goes missing in times of trouble.

not at the moment we signed jake reeves we couldn’t. west ham had made it clear they wanted to test him at a higher level, hence he went to bolton.

o’brien was poor on saturday. probably his worst game since the rochdale match where he was responsible for two goals conceded. his use of the ball was poor and he sat on his arse like a petulant child waiting for the ref to give something whilst letting their lad break to score again.

And after another poor performance they get the day off, you couldn't make it up.

Trailed all the way down there to give the lads a bit of moral support, to show them not all of us have washed or hands of them and nowhere to be seen. I thought Gary was annoyed with them, they should have been at the training ground ever blood day.

if you were gonna show them 'moral support' it's probably a good thing they werent there. the only reason anyone should be going to the training ground is to tell them in no uncertain terms we will not accept their performances and lack of fight.
