Whilst I agree, I'd be suprised if he wanted to stay

 

Julian Rhodes is a disaster, he should do one now.

5th November that muppet came back to the club.

January recruitment was the final nail in the coffin.

We had Cullen.....are you suggesting Payne is better.

 

Actually he made more difference in the first 10 mins than Payne did in the first half. I can see he is creative and way better than this shower.

 

I agree Rhodes is culpable in all this. He and Lawn failed with their due diligence that opened the door to Rupp and Rahic. Rhodes and Lawn "got lucky" with Parky and the Cup exploits that righted the financial problems at the club. If the Cup Final had ever happened the Club would have meandered along in League 2. Remember Rhodes sank us into League 2 when he disastrously axed Colin Todd as Manager in 2007 and put Wetherall in charge !?. It took 7 years to clamber out of League 2 with a team that is revered as "History Makers" and yet they struggled to deliver the Club from the grip of League 2 drudgery. If Rhodes wants to hang around ? then it's not enough to hole himself up in "the Bunker" he has to front up and tell us what the Plan is ? So too Herr Rupp and if they don't then I'll take it there isn't a bloody Plan ! For me Rhodes and Rupp can ship out and I know you will say well "what happens then" ? But something WILL at least happen and then we know where we stand.

 

It was utterly bizarre for anyone to suggest that Reeves is/was better than Cullen. They must have been on some strong wacky drugs.
But, before he started carrying the injury Reeves did look a decent player at this level. Who knows what's going on with him that's preventing him from playing, but it's a shame because he could have been the ball winning holding midfielder we have been sadly lacking this season.

 

The problem in Jan was that every club willing to sell such players (Pace, height, wingers, strikers, experience...) knew we were in the mire and demanded crazy prices for them. It was unrealistic to expect to turn this pigs ear into a silk purse, unfortunately.

 

The more I think about 'the December blip', the more I am starting to think certain players upped their game that month in the hope they would get a move to another club in January.

 

I seem to remember a similar quote being quoted to Greg Abbott at the forum.

I’m with the majority of this, but if Rahic had spent all the magic beans, how could the club keep spending in January? I think that’s why we offloaded as much as we could and yet only brought in cheap replacements.

That said, not spending in January, irrespective of where the money came from, has cost us L1 safety..!

 

And after another poor performance they get the day off, you couldn't make it up.

 

Trailed all the way down there to give the lads a bit of moral support, to show them not all of us have washed or hands of them and nowhere to be seen. I thought Gary was annoyed with them, they should have been at the training ground ever blood day.

 

Does he play Anderson again after his last 2 efforts?
That will be telling as to whether City win or fail.
Keep our most creative player in Payne on the bench again.
Taking a good wage from City but not, alas,making the plays.

 

I often feel a win in my bone too.

 

It's an awful feeling when you can't be arsed to go to the game due to disappointment and feel like you've fallen out of love with football. Those feelings are extremely fresh. Hopefully the love comes back soon.

 

And the fact there isn't a winning formation when all your best players are central midfielders or central attacking midfielders is why we're going down.

 

More annoying for me Jon, are the times we do play football, and get 'at them' - With multiple shots at goal .... only to find few are on target, or we just haven't worked the 'keeper.

Are our players that inept .......... Or just bottle it anywhere other than in training ? Even in pre match warm ups - O'Donnel is more like a ballboy, than saving 'shots'. Poor lad can't even practice retrieving the ball from the back of the net, ha ha ha.

 

If he play Anderson god help us.......but Marshy i like that for a Friday

 

So what were the terms, we know his contract is only till the end of this season, what would the others terms be that he or the club set ?.
