    Just can't see past the misses in the play off final. ANY player, attacking midfielder or striker should have finished.... Not the signing most of us were hoping for

    I honestly am not sure about that. Look at the top Premiership teams how many start with a ‘traditional’ Big Target Man?
    I think the days of Hanson style players are coming to their end. Mobility, great touch, speed and a football brain are far more important.
    Share those abilities, like the top clubs have (albeit at league 1 level) and I think there is space for Billy Clarke. As l said earlier, remaining injury free and doing a little to increase pace.
    Linford Christie won the Olympics when he was 32, and Alan Wells was 28 and that was a long time ago!

    My recollection is that he moved on for a transfer fee, so despite the ‘miss’, he was deemed worthy of a club paying money for him. True or not true?

    What was his record over the last 3yrs? I recall a player coming to us with a good career record, that had done nothing for the 3yrs before. Remember Aaron Mclean?

    When I first heard about it I was a bit meh but the more you think about it the more it makes sense. He's a good footballer, he can score goals, he loves it here and if he's on the bench he makes it much stronger. No point bringing into question his injury as it seems every player we get has either had a bad injury, is recovering from a bad injury or is likely to get injured at some point during the season.

    He hasn’t been starting but he’s not crocked. Has trained since November apparently but others are ahead of him in their pecking order.

    There is being fit and being match fit but he’ll soon get back up to speed.

    I saw the oddment too, Rod - But chose not to nitpick. That said .............. City have been flawed (Or is it 'floored' ? :D) since Parky left, after those Play Offs ............... Parky saw it coming - WE didn't. :( ........ ;)
