    On the laptop I don't see them, but that is probably due to the adblocker I run.

    On the phone I don't see it as it is at the bottom of the page and I don't go there.

    Glad it isn’t just me then. Maybe it is a geographical targeting?

    It appeared on mine as I got home to Bradford. Wasn’t there when I left work in North Yorkshire

    What are peoples honest opinions of the advert banners....

    Same device both times or different? The ads are from Google and they use a combination of the browsing info they have from you (from using their services) and also based on your local cookies. So some will be the same on all devices but others will be impacted by the device you are using. Something about some of your browsing seems to have google think you want to date Muslims lol

    Sponsoring the site is obvious way to go.
    I'm sure many fans who live in Bradford know of or have businesses them selves that would give a fiver ( or whatever) to have a banner that is looked at by a potential user audience.

    If Joe Blogs fish and chips had a banner prominently on the site, how many fans living close by would support his business?
