I used to buy City coloured training kits direct from Avec at a much lower cost (without badges) but not sure if you can do the same from Macron.

If only FP did football kits

They've dabbled in the past with some special editions for the World Cup, but would be great if they produced a football range of their polos. I know a lot of the colours, like this one, can be attributed to a particular club, but would be great if they did something official (and collectible).

I'm still partial to a nice Harrington. I wouldn't want one with a badge on tbh, but I'd certainly wear a plain claret one.

 

Looking back it was black/ British Racing Green or Tan?

Were there others?

 

When I was a teenager in Essex in the late 60s/early 70s, black was the most common colour Harrington, but there were others and maroon/claret was one of them.

 

Honestly never saw a maroon one in Bradford . Lots of us would have purchased them for sure.

 

Of course, to go with the Fred Perry you need…

 

Baracuta, the original G7/G9 comes in burgundy. Harrington is actually a generic name given to that style of jacket. Named after some fella that wore it on tv. I love them too, but always think they make you look about ten stone overweight

 

Thanks I didn’t know that. I really liked them worn with Levi Stay-press( Best trousers on planet earth at the time) , not so keen with Jeans.
