BBC Radio Leeds Fans 'Forum' 7th Feb 6-7pm

Jamie Raynor isn't one to shy away from asking the questions. Last forum i went to was the infamous Rupp/Abbott/shambolic do at Valley Parade, just ended up with halfwits grabbing the mic and having their own the little rant about whatever was in their head. Sparks/Rupp need to be accountable and i'm not sure Rupp is even involved in the Radio Leeds current one, hence really there being no point to having it. Because he is the one we should questioning.

 

Exactly. If he can't be bothered to answer fans grievances then its about time he put the club up for sale at a realistic price.

 

And the thing is, questions that speak to the heart of our concern - i.e. ownership and possibility of a sale, they simply won't answer. How can they? How can they realistically come out and pimp the club for a sale? The price would drop and if doesn't come off, the flak only increases. As does any sense of uncertainty. The answer will be the same we've had before- Rupp wants the club to succeed, we speak regularly, he allows us to run the club, it's not for sale but we're always open to interest it its right for the club and the right level of offer comes in etc. But if anyone expects anything along the lines of 'stefan is actively looking for a new owner and the asking price is X', forget it.

I've submitted my question, but im sceptical it'll be asked, let alone answered properly.

Any question regarding the owner/sale of the club will be batted away with ease due to the owner not being there.

1 hour is a start but with the person who can answer the biggest questions not being there it just looks like a bit of a charade really

The first question should surely be asked is, 'why is Stefan Rupp not present, and how do you justify his complete lack of engagement with supporters'?

I'd be amazed if he were this disconnected from the customers of any of his other business interests.

Oh definitely. Mr Sparks will be upfront and centre and will be incredulous at the suggestion he is not doing a good job.

 

After he’s batted that away with “Unfortunately this hastily arranged forum clashed with another business meeting/venture but he will definitely be made aware of every fans concerns blah blah” I’d follow up with -

“So Ryan,Give me your definition of mediocrity bearing in mind when you said it nearly 3 years ago we were 14th in lge 2”

 

Listen there is more than enough people out there who will put there questions across in a calmed manner ........... you could invite folk from various supporters branch to represent each branch could you not ????
I doubt the folk who atrended the latvian club meeting where out for blood ....... they simply want to know why after Ryan Sparks mediocrity quote that 3 years along the line we are even worse

 

And we're now 19th.

Over the last 6 league games as a form guide, We're bottom of the league. The worst side in the country in 2024.

You could even have people join online, where a requirement to join would be registration and acceptance of specific terms, which include an ID verification service. Breach the terms, you're disconnected. Step across a line and become personal, it may be a police matter. A pattern of the same and all supporter connections are terminated.

Like i said there are loads out there who aint hotheaded .............. i doubt the people that take charge of various branches or do podcasts for City are raving loons like me .............still lets hope Raynor does a job on him because if he doesnt then Radio Leeds are in the same boat as Sparks

It can. I believed it but if we're still 18th, I shall rejoice and be thankful.

 

Just typical of folk wanting to put this club down m8.

 

Why has GA been dragged into this? Clearly to move the spotlight and waste time discussing the real issues.
