Agree Foghorn. Sparks genuinely thinks if we get to Wembley everything will be ok. We need to actually get there and then beat a L1 opponent. Easier said than done!

I’ve supported the club through thick and thin but I’m done ,the club is a joke from top to bottom the current regime have killed off the excitement ,the buzz, even the loyalty - I’m a fan not a customer ,I want competitive well run football team,even at our lowest I’ve felt we have at least aimed to do this but now it’s like buying water , tasteless and boring

 

Jamie was weak with regards asking about the coming season ticket uptake, he can't get away with hypothetical answers we have little to get excited about at the present moment it will take a monumental effort from the team to get us into a play off place and stay there until the end of the season so why does he think fans will auto renew, and he should have pushed him on that scenario.

 

A couple of times Sparks mentioned about giving us the day out at Wembley that we deserve. He really doesn’t get it does he…?

 

Not sure but he said they are in talks RE a new 25 year lease. Current one ends in few years but we are weighing up options.

Sparks said VP costs us 500k ish a year and maintenance costs were ca. 1.1 m a year I think (or was it 1.3m?)

I nearly wet myself when he was talking about the Harry Lewis transfer....he talked of the contract ending (before being prompted by Raynor about the extension in our favour!!) and of succession planning like we had a ready made replacement already in the building!! Nope a 38 year old coach and then we sign a 30+ journeyman who has made about 5 appearances in the last 18 months....some succession plan that....

Please can anybody explain the answer to the "mediocrity"? He obviously expected it to come up because he raised before he was asked.

I'm not sure Rupp will be happy with RS telling everyone his only brief is not to go bust and to stay in the EFL. So was RS suggesting that the targets he has been given are mediocre at best and by being 18th rather than in the relegation spots he is exceeding those targets and therefore better than mediocre?????
