We haven't attacked and we've been outplayed, OR, we have been outplayed.

 

Yeah certainly worked for Burton and Rotherham in the last 7 days.

 

Doesn't help when you start with 6 defenders on the pitch and half of them out of position.

 

On the plus side...

I was on a sponsors table. The chap sponsoring was talking to the Barnsley Chairman who said that they were looking to spend some of the £1.5m they've got for Potts (sold to Preston) on one of our players who is on loan from Huddersfield and out of contract at the end of the season.

A good day for Payne to have a stinker.

 

They are unbeaten at home since March. You can forgive Hopkin setting up differently for this one. Full of pacy, athletic lads.

It backfired, s**t happens. Miserable day out. Hour getting out of that horrible car park after (where were the stewards FFS?....they don’t care once they have your fiver) but we draw a line under it. Bring on Southend.

 

I parked in the home end car park north stand it was just the same, awful car park design when you have to wait for the people parked around you to move first. We had to wait ages and the traffic to the motorway was not better, I hope the trains aren’t on strike next time we play them because I can’t be bothered driving after that I got back from Sunderland quicker.

 

Yep, said the exact same thing RE trains. Thankfully the M1 was moving quickly. Some day lol!

 

Spot on Eric. I understand they have made a bid to Huddersfield for Jack and also to Boro for Miller. Talked about quite openly in the Boardroom.

Having seen the team selection I and others around us were asking why the changes, Barnsleys major danger coming from wide positions from where we were caught out several times during the first half and the change at half time made little difference, Barnsley were 2-0 up and coasting.
It will be interesting to see who Hopkin gives the left full back position to in Chicksens absence.

 

1 hour to get out of the car park and 45 minutes to get onto the M1. Over 5 hours driving to support that no show. The back road from Huddersfield may have been a better option.

 

Feel your pain. I could have stuck one of those cones up the car park attendants asre!

 

I'd be very surprised if Barnsley wanted Miller. I'm not sure he's good enough for top end league 1 and potentially the championship.

 

Same here if it means we get someone like surridge and another striker.

 

So, that’ll be Payne off then.

 

Looks like we’re going to have to do some significant business in the second half of the window.
