Gone to sh*t defensively again, after a bright start.

I’d have young O’Connor and McGowan off, 4 at the back, Caddis to right back and Miller and Akpan on.

 

Massively unfair after our recent run of results.

 

Ffs why did he change the formation? We were winning and playing well

Why dramatically change formation? Just fecking go for it. Going defensive is just like saying ok you win. FFS!!!

Until their first we were in control. Game was being played in their half and we looked comfortable. It wasn’t a defensive performance. But the goal came against the run of play and seemed to knock us. Then Barnsley started exposing our full back channels.

Changes needed at half time. May as well have a bit of a go.

Has caddis not played right back? If so that’s a big mistake. He’s been our best player by some way since he came in. To move him is criminal

 

Playing a better team at their most comfortable ground. Always a stretch too far.

Don't think we've got it right tactically, but honestly, no big shakes. 20th is the target, beating Barnsley away isn't a requirement, nobody else has managed it

 

Still doesn’t make sense to me, with the options on our bench, we haven’t recalled him.

 

I have to agree. He’s being played in central midfield and he’s doing ok but our right back position hasn’t half suffered.

 

I feel this is very much another Luton. We are way behind the top 6 but should be better to beat enough teams around us

New centre back and a guy playing right wing back that isn't used to playing there.

Was always likely to go badly, wasn't it.

 

Indeed, I understand frustrations that we didn't just repeat the same tactics that helped us trash some lesser teams, but it's one loss in a game we really can't expect to win.
