We are back for another Season of the Bantam Talk Prediction League.

Entry is open to all registered Forum Members and is free to play. Every match we will ask for your match predictions and you will be awarded points based on the accuracy. These scores accumulate over the season and whoever has accrued the most points at the end of the season will be crowned champion.

How To Play

Once the current league match kicks off a prediction thread will be posted for the next match. On this thread, you just need to post your match prediction in the following format

Point System

Points are awarded as follows

• Correct Result – 2 Points
• Correct Score - 3 Points
• Correct Scorer – 1 Point

Bonus Points. 3 bonus points will be awarded to anyone who makes a perfect prediction. A perfect prediction is the correct result, score and all City Scorers correctly predicted

Penalty Points. If you predict City scoring more than 5 or more goals you will get a penalty of -1 for each incorrect scorer. This is to prevent abuse by naming all 11 starters as scorers for guaranteed points.

 

Rules

• Entering via multiple accounts is forbidden. If we catch you using multiple accounts they will all be disqualified
• Only entries made before kick off will be accepted
• *Only one submission per user will be accepted per match. In the event of multiple submissions, we will use the last submission. If adjusting your entry we still suggest deleting previous submissions
• Don’t use players nicknames, only their surnames (If there are multiple players with the same surname then enter in the format of FirstName.Surname)

 

Special Rounds

Special Prize Rounds

Certain rounds will be defined as Special Prize rounds. There will be prizes available to the top scorer(s) of this round. How many and when these rounds is at the discretion of the competition organisers

FA Cup & League Cup

FA Cup matches will be included this year but will only score half points. We will be using the rule introduced for the Euros where you are predicting the score and result as of 90mins. However, any correct goalscorer who score in extra time will see you receive half the points you would have got for a goal in normal time (0.25points). You will not score points for scoring in a penalty shootout

EFL Trophey

To give you all a reason to actually care about the EFL games these will also be included this year. They will carry just 25% of a league games score. You never know though, it might just make the difference at the end of the season.

As with FA and League cup Games your predictions are on the score in normal time. You will receive no points score scorers in a penalty shootout. If City reaches a round that has Extra time you will receive half the points for a extra time goalscorer as you would in normal time (so 0.125 points)
