It'll be the beginning of the end if we follow the same path as the Spanish leagues. 12 teams will become 10 and so on, until the European league is formed.

What a prat. Stop hoovering up any and all talent under 15, stop charging ridiculous loan fees and let your kids go out and play mens football to gain experience.

It's an emotive subject but one that merits discussion. The premiership and championship are excellent league to watch in terms of quality yet drop to L1&2 and there's a noticeable difference.
The notion of 92 pro clubs plus many in the 5th tier deciding to be professional has never been sustainable hence so many clubs going bust over the years and others flying by the seat of their pants.Stop hovering to collapse... The effects on the EFL would be mind-boggling, I'd think. Expand the divisions or demote existing League clubs to non-league? Would such sides be eligible for promotion/relegation? Would supporters care to watch such sides?
Has anybody, anywhere, actually said how such an idea would be implemented?

It will show too well how dominant the PL now is in domestic football. It won't be long imo before the PL becomes more of a closed shop restricting relegation/promotion between the Championship and the PL to a single club each season. -

If he can convince the Bundesliga, La Liga, France Ligue and maybe Serie A to do something similar, then a proper Champions League really will have been created. And the money from TV broadcasters in Europe and around the world will follow. -

"This is a real problem," he said. "There are too many games for Premier League clubs and we need to find ways to cut this.
"Some games have to be played because they generate the fans and revenue that feeds the whole pyramid. We want them to be played. There are others that don't add value and put players at risk."

I don't share the angst some have when the neighbours are successful.
But what about the 'Ammers? Are they part of the chosen few? -

What an odd suggestion.
What with the roaring success of PL2, U23's in the JPT, the ability to buy kids for pennies, and the billions spent every year on transfer fees, your think the PL clubs were well endowed enough, huh?
Maybe the clubs just need to run themselves a little better and find innovative ways of developing players in-house...?
Too much to ask? -
