Ha! Not sure tbh. Anthony O'Connor was solid at the back, Canavan looks an inspired signing. Sutton scored and was all over the place. Hard to pick one tbh. Most did well but I'm not sure anyone was outstanding.

 

Kian Scales perhaps to cover for Cooke if not fit enough for Tuesday.

Trueman did say post match that it was more fatigue with Cooke today for the reason he was taken off, so perhaps he will be fine for Tuesday anyhow

I lumped on tranmere to finish top after Tuesday night and have four bets on us from finishing top seven to getting promotion. I actually think we'll get to the playoff final,and hopefully win it. Just think autos is a step too far.

If I'd had to choose I'd be going Canavan just now.

Two aspects that Paudie could learn from Canavan;

1. He's too physical in the sense of always grabbing, pulling, fighting. There's none of that from Canavan but he's just as effective.

2. There's a point at which Paudie gets bored and just hoofs the ball aimlessly upfield whereas Canavan looks assured and calm with the ball at his feet.

Quality signing imo.

That’s exactly it was all hands to the+pump when they came on there was no where to lay it off for Rowe and Clarke was chasing shadows. Rowe looks laid back just as he did in his first two games.. he is not a target man like Cook he likes to find a bit of space to get shots off. He will come good again

They're both great options. I'm loving that whoever we pick we've still got a brilliant option on the bench if we need to change it.

 

I think people forget ther is another team on the pitch sometimes who by now are well aware of Vernham etc and how we are playing and are setting up to stop them which of course will affect how effective they are during a match.

 

I just hope we can keep these guys together for as long as possible, even though we are not in the stadiums I now feel a bond with them which has been missing for ages...

You can't pick AOC or give him any praise. He's not been forgiven over a misunderstanding about an armband incident, that happened about 20 zillion matches ago

The fact our defensive upturn has coincided with having a right back that for the first time since Darby's days can actually defend, is of course not relevant

 

It'd depend on how much he wanted for me. Apparently he's on a very good deal and as much as I think he's contributing at present I wouldn't be comfortable with him remaining a "top earner". There would be plenty of right backs out there who could do a similar, if not better job for less if that were the case.
