Wow Sutton's goal looks even better from this angle.
The lads certainly enjoyed that.Wolfysmith, Stoneski, NorthernMonkey and 4 others like this. -
Made hardwork of that in the end but sign of a good side when you win games but are not at your best

What's interesting, is listening to the "other" commentators. They all start off by judging our league position, and sort of think that their team will have the upper hand. Talk about us being a big club going through hard times. Then about ten minutes in, after we've had all the play and taken the game to the oppo, they begin to change their minds and start talking positively about how we are playing. Then after about fifteen minutes, when we've created all the chances, and probably scored, they start talking in disbelief about how we are so low down the league, and we look a real threat. Then, for most of the second half, after we've gone two up, they talk about how we're the best team to come to them this season, that our league position is totally baffling, that the managers we have are doing a great job, and that the team looks so organised. They then start to turn on their own team, highlighting areas of our team that they wished they had, and deflate their own chances of promotion totally. It's really quite amusing.
This is how the oppo players must feel also I think. They approach the game thinking they are going to be the dominant force, only to be on the back foot from the off. Of course, now we're on this great run (we must be at the top of the form table?) things have changed, and the opposition managers and players have started treating us with more respect.

He's just so slow and cumbersome that when he comes on with 20 minutes to go and the pace is frantic like it has been the last few games we've played, he just doesn't get 'on it'.
His control today was poor, but he was always being challenged (as you'd expect), and what he's shown is with a bit of time and space he's absolutely lethal.
He isn't getting that as a sub, but over the course of his usual 70 or so minutes, he does get those opportunities.TallinnBantam, CT Bantam, Hulmebantam and 2 others like this. -

Some fans are far to critical of Rowe in my opinion.
He's not going to be a super sub.
The guys got talent unlike previous incomnants Guthrie been a prime example easy to forget but I haven't.1975citygent, shoatsy, Tony Wilkinson and 2 others like this. -

I've never been Clarke's biggest fan but in fairness to him it was the first time he's been on the pitch in what, 5 matches?
The team have come on quite a way without him and its going to take a bit of time for him to get up to the level needed.Offcomedun, Bantam@{Lancs}, Inspector and 2 others like this. -

For the first time in ages I watched us yesterday (I just can't get into watching us on TV with no crowds!!) and thought that the back four was amazing. Light years better than anything we've had since Darby's days and it must surely be the best in this division
AOC can often give some seriously impressive performances, I remember last season when it was basically him holding off wave after wave of Exeter attacks, in a match we somehow won 2-0. And yesterday's was almost as good
To me, it's vital they are all kept together - no matter what division we're in and yes, AOC as a permanent RB is fine by me
Like you, I'm interested in the team - not some controversial incident from months agoOffcomedun, Allotment Bantam, Bronco and 2 others like this. -

Right. I've raised this a couple of times already in the last few weeks. If he continues this form I think we should be ready to offer AOC a new contract at the end of the season.
As an aside, I've never seen him as pumped and passionate as he was when celebrating Rowe's goal.Meltham Massive, Bronco, Gateway38 and 2 others like this.
