The finish was entirely down to the quality of the player. He was ready for the knock on, his first touch was enough to control the ball and put it where the defender couldn't get it and perfectly positioned for him to twist and shoot. All showing that quality players win matches.

 

Not the impression given by @wetherby , I have a lot of time and respect for him on here but lost that last night tbh with his comments. Although he’s no longer a board member, he’s still associated with the club and shouldn’t be putting out provocative statements like that to paying customers. Between us on here we have 1000s of years of watching this club and all want what’s best for it and as someone who has travelled thousands of miles myself over the years am entitled to an opinion. A club isn’t a corner shop it’s a community asset and an owner is a guardian of it at the end of the day.

As @Fordy117 has put he was nowhere to be seen when we were on our poor streaks, one win and calling people out. Show a bit of class. I’d be interested to get Ryan’s thoughts on a club ambassador calling out paying customers in such a way.

332 fans and not one word of dissent. We played well from 1 to 11 despite a bit of a fade when they threw it all in last 10 minutes. Better support than some of the keyboard warriors. I will be adding to the John Dewhirst posts tomorrow by the way.

Hendrie as well. Brought some calmness at the back. More composed on the ball than other defenders and got forward well in the first half.

 

Very good seems better away than at home, will he become one of those players that does better at smaller clubs as his career goes on? Early days though hopefully he settles down and gets consistency. At least he comes for the ball so is an upgrade on what we had.

I was actually more impressed with Hendrie tbh, felt he gave the team a lot more balance. Amazing what playing a right back at right back can do.

 

One win against a piss poor team and the jerk circle is back up and running. Funny those watching waiting desperately for a win so they can stand up against those 'horrible keyboard warriors' lol.
Notice these very people have been very quiet of the last few months. A win always brings them out of the woodwork.
