Away Travel-Car/Train/Coach views and advice with prices

I'll be in Barcelona that weekend. £150 return flight, sometimes you can't get to London and back for that....

 

I’ll be in Bradford / Manchester/ Amsterdam / New York and Nashville that weekend, get to see the game , family and friends. All for not much more than a 1st class train Bradford-London. (Well, considering the difference in distance, the flying is cheap).

 

Great effort,,,I'm in Barcelona to see a friend and I've never been.

 

Be careful, especially in The Ramblas with pick pockets. If you have a decent watch keep it hidden although I suspect it won’t be warm enough for short sleeves but these guys, mostly Romanian, are really good.

 

Paid £40 for me and the lad with a rail card so
Reasonable . Don’t think I could do it in the car for cheaper

 

£2 on a bus to the Interchange and £5 for a day pass in London wont break the bank. The cost of the emiision zone through London is much more. Just set alerts on LNER and sit back with a big cigar whilst you wait for the cheap tickets.

And the police don't have the same liberal views on drinking & driving that LNER have on drinking and (train) riding.

 

COULD be a load of cheap train tickets available via Northern from tomorrow.

IF it is the cheap train tickets (normally put up for sale at this time of the year) its on a first come, first served basis and may need you to book more than one journey (eg Bradford to Manchester, Manchester to Crewe). In recent years ticket prices have started at £1 single journeys. Only available on the Northern rail network.

City fixtures... V Doncaster away 25 February, Crewe away 25th March.

I’ll echo that statement.
Mrs bbb and I went on New Year’s Eve(admittedly a lot busier)a few years ago and we ended up getting out of there as there were lots of groups of young men just looking for victims.
