Considering we're bottom of the away form for the last 8 games...I'd say very.

    2 points from a possible 24.

2 goals scored in 8 games.

Got to be getting very concerning. If we don't get a win in the last 4 away games this season then we put huge pressure on us early next season as this won't go away even if we are in a new season then before we know it we could get 2 or 3 away games without a win and the talk starts of no away wins since October and no away wins in 20. It's not just that we've been losing but how we've been losing them and really been bullied and outfought in a lot of them.

There's no getting away from the fact we are a pretty poor side. Have been for a long while. Fact some chose to ignore it says much for their football acumen.

I recall several posters on here getting really excited that our home form was the best for heaven knows how many years and this home form would form the basis of our promotion this season, Of course, our poor away form was quietly ignored in a completely unbalanced manner. I hope those posters re-read that thread when they get a mo and reflect on the way things haven't changed much since then other than the likelihood of promotion has just about disappeared. And it's our away form that has been our achilles heel throughout this entire season.

I feel the away form reflects so much about the club as it stands.

Those posters know who they are, deriding others form pointing out what has, understandably, turned out to be true. You can quote your xG stats and you scouting reports. I go by what i see every week. This team was never good enough.

It’s difficult to win away when you are piss poor.

It’s a major issue. As much for the performances as the results. If we were playing ok I’d accept it. Of the away wins we have had i was only at Stevenage at we didn’t deserve all. 3 points there. We were ok in second half at Swindon, but nothing to get over excited by and certainly not as much as some of the reviews have been afterwards.

It’s about player application and they’ve failed all season in terms of away games IMO. That said, i also cannot recall a performance all season where anyone can say ‘we were really good for 90 minutes today’. Please correct me if i am wrong?

I just don't get it. This team has proven it can get results when playing infront of the biggest crowd in the division and on a swamp of a pitch. Yet the second they go to some of these flat pack pub grounds, playing infront of a man and his dog, they collapse.

Maybe the pitch is the leveller as per last week. We beat the team who will probably be champions.

A poor pitch is a great leveller. Nothing can disguise the fact this team is lucky to be even in ninth, its been terrible to watch all season. How on earth this lot is actually that high up the table is testament to just how bad this division is.

I agree. Our home form hasn’t been wonderful either, apart from the first couple of games. We have huffed and puffed our results at home.

Which makes more frustrating given some of the bizarre recruitment of some of players - this season. There appears to have been no structure/strategy to the transfers recruitment.. The midfield has been pants for some time now and is one example of an area we should have addressed. The timing of the sacking of Bowyer along with the lack of attention the pitch - just about sums up the poor running of the club.

He did address the midfield!! Unfortunately none of them are good enough, is that to do with lack of funds or a manager who wouldn’t recognise a good midfielder if he jumped up in front of him?

Yes, not solving the problem of recruiting midfield players being able to put in match winning performances.
