Average wages

That doesn't show anything to do with the budget, just average pay per player. I saw the other day we had 42 players that puts our budget at £3.5m

 

Yet Shrewsbury had the third lowest (only by £24) and MK Dons, Bury and Northampton had some of the highest.

 

Shows there's some shite wages being paid in Bradford and I don't mean at the club either!!

 

I think contracts should be annual with a signing on fee of saying 50k plus bonuses
No weekly wage increments built in for this having contracts renewed

It’s a priveledge to play they should be made. To earn it injuries aside

Being serious for once in my life i agree, the figures mean nothing without a list of corresponding information to go with it.

 

Hmmm, from talking to friends in Gijon its seems that L1 players earn a lot more than Segunda players who's wages drop dramatically on leaving La Liga, Hansons (reported ) wages were a huge shock to them, he was earning more than any player pushing for promotion to La Liga! I've often wondered why we don't employ a Spanish coach bring in a load of Spanish Segunda players and walk L1, jobs a good un.

 

Just been watching a documentary about them and Oviedo on you tube. Their passion is on another level to the stuff you see in this country.

I've a friend who is well connected at St.Pauli. Average salary there, in Bundesliga 2, is around € 250,000 although top players can earn a lot more. Again, relatively cheap compared to Championship salaries.

 

That's interesting, I doubt German or Spanish players suddenly become totally cack on getting relegated from the top tier. We could actually do something sensible different instead of silly different.

Fair point, but I don't think young footballers (outside the top tiers) really care where they live, they want to play professionally and earn as much as they can. Copacabana or Murmansk? The Russian league has plenty of Brazilians
