Our ‘training’ is having little impact when it comes to match days, so this will probably have little impact. Cue Tuesdays excuse ‘haven’t been able to train properly’.

Although this does reopen the question others have previously raised of our training facilities been suitable. I mean, any adverse weather and the river bursts it’s banks at Apperley Bridge - always has always will.

 

Didn’t you get the memo? As we have failed at football so badly we have decided to become a water polo team.

 

Surely we can train at a alternative location while AB is flooded.

The Astro pitch is round the back of the school about 20ft higher than that pitch

Major flood defence scheme will start in about 6 weeks time. The whole stretch of the Aire around the training complex will have new walls. BAM construction will do the work for the Environment Agency, details may be on the respective web sites.

 

It was last time but we got a new 5g ? all weather pitch to replace it.

 

Won’t matter if it keeps raining, VP will be in unplayable which is a good thing the way things are going atm.

If they can’t train at apperley bridge I thought they used the pitches up at Thornton ?

 

I thought it was a prop for the new manager interviews. If the candidate can walk across the field without getting their feet wet, they get the job
