Don't get the Edin comparison - I don't recall O'Connor making bad decisions that affected the whole club, but I realise you need to mention him in association with myself or Park so hope it gives you some kind of closure.

He's not even playing that well

 

It wasn't just armband gate though was it. It was being one of the ringleaders off the pitch in undermining Hopkin with some of the other stuff that went on - the player revolts. Hopkin was shit, but he was still the manager and you have to respect the manager.

That said, we needed to wipe the slate clean in the summer following relegation and we have. He is making a positive contribution for Bowyer so far this season so credit to him.

 

What other stuff with Hopkin?

 

Didn't you deny the negative impact of Rahic also?

How many times can you deny the plain and obvious while asking for empirical evidence?

 

Paudie is an apt replacement.

Wed just need a reserve defender.

 

There was other stuff going on behind the scenes...player revolts...... players do not get stripped of the captaincy without good reason.....but I don't think there is any need to dwell on it now as we are second in the league and just kept a clean sheet against one of the best teams in the league. They're playing for Bowyer now and making a positive contribution so we need to get behind the lads.

It is good we have Paudie waiting in the wings. BRE is a red card waiting to happen with the way he tackles. It is good to have a classy centre half like Paudie waiting to step in when BRE's next red arrives.

In this case I agree. A despised O'Connor last season but now he's playing well and the team are doing well I suppose it just has to be left in the past. We don't want the apple cart upsetting now.

 

Why is it always said that players downed tools when we where losing. We had the same excuse after Stuart got sacked people saying mcmahon had gone on strike. Now your saying that AOC did the same whilst being a disruption in the dressing room. I'm sure if any of that went on the club would suspend the players and they would struggle to get another club. The only thing that was wrong on both occasions where Edin related.

 

More went on behind the scenes than was ever commented on in the press. Hopkin was undermined.

We've moved on now.

 

Hopkin uses the Edin book of running a football club you only have to look what happened when he went back to Scotland.

 

Been edited by our moderation team, Saturday both BRE and O'Connor were worthy of the MOTM award, and have been a good pairing when they have played together, it must be difficult for Bowyer to not shoe horn Paudie into the starting 11 but it would be harsh on either to lose their place.
Lets hope last Saturdays clean sheet is one of many to come.

After the farce of last summer, I agreed that Rahic had to go, but refused to support the rather 17th century 'off with their heads' sentence some of you wanted for him. Christ!! Some of you are still moaning on about him (hello ricc) - in life you need to move on.

Using your and Ricc's attitude, I should refuse to talk to people who were openly racist back in the 70's, even though it's clear that they regret their actions. What good does it ever do, to carry all this resentment? None!!

 

But we're far better with three quality central defenders, as opposed to two and a cheaper 'OK' one. Why make us weaker? I was more of a Paudie fan than Anthony one earlier in the season and was actually perplexed as to why Bowyer chose the latter. However, without that experienced coolness that O'Connor should on Saturday we would, IMO, have conceded
