Sparks spoke about how staying in the league and staying solvent is the direction he has received.

just interested to hear what everyone wants from the next seasons. What is the ambition - it can’t be just stay in the league and stay solvent - it sends the wrong message to us and the players not to mention club sponsors.

just heard the Norwich manager talk eloquently about ambition and how ambition is promotion and it has to be otherwise what’s the point.

    So, what’s our ambition?

Hot water in toilets and a pitch that doesn't look like a bog by the first week of October

The ambition of our fans (well some us) doesn't align with the ambition of the owner / board, and there's no dialogue.
Hence the current disconnect between both sets.

We have to be aiming for top 3 this season without a shadow of doubt.

Hopefully 3 or 4 more good signings in the coming couple of months to outline our ambition

I don’t think there is much good will left from the fans. If Rupps statement towards the end of the season isn’t delivered on, then I don’t think our ambitions will ever align.
Last chance saloon this year I think before fans do turn in numbers

That stay in the league that people have ran with is what he said was the aim when he first got the job. In the years since he has said promotion is the aim. I think if we're not at least playoffs this season there'll be a mass exodus of fans next year

Hit the ground running, in the top three (or very close) by Christmas and then adding a couple more quality players that sees us to automatic promotion.

In reality, I expect the 'gelling' conversation to occur early and endless pages about the club's structure not being right as we lament the loan signings we've made.

If we all shared the view of some then 3rd bottom is the aim and anything above is a bonus

However to the rest of us, it is automatic promotion and nothing less. 6 awful seasons in the bottom league plus the dire season of relegation proves how bad we have been managed and owned since Rupp took charge. There’s only 2 links in common, and the fans ain’t one of them….

Was it? I'm pretty sure he'd said it recently and those are the only directions he's received from Rupp. All the promotion talk was presumably just smoke and mirrors to keep fans interested?

    That’s simply not true.

He said that his only instruction FROM RUPP was to stay sustainable and not go bust.

The investment has to come through this year from Stefan. Any more false promises and there will be a mass exodus and more toxicity.
The aim has to be top three with POs a minimum.

He said my aim when i came in was to be sustainable and keep us in the league, I'm guessing he said that to tell us what a mess he came into.
In his interview going into last season and the one before that he said our aim is promotion

Cue….Where is Rupps letter? That document is Sparks written brief from Rupp for 24/25 .Anything else is spin on the clubs part or Social Media theories from a fan perspective.

He said that's been his only instruction from Rupp. Sparks can aim as high as he wants but unless Rupp matches that ambition by putting funds into the club then it's all p1ss and wind.

Ambition is to balance the books to ZERO.

We want promotion well you can forget that.

Promotion isn't even on Bradford City's mission statement.

Rupps given Sparks and co more than enough resources to get out of the league. They've massively underacheived with what Rupps given them. Rupp didn't provide funds for Mark Hughes and a championship captain etc etc for Sparks to keep us in the league with

It's got to be promotion, I feel it's now or never.
