    Just as many are promoting the 'don't purchase' protest - We now have this .......

    Was this well thought, in advance - Or hurriedly pushed through at the last minute ?
    Significantly, the Shop opens today .......... Just as the VP shop is closed for maintenance.

    Perhaps JR has advised the Club to 'expand' their commercial outlet, to compensate for our protests at VP ? They have certainly picked a great venue for it.

    I would imagine sorting out the lease on a permanent unit takes quite a while, I doubt it is something that could have been done in the space of the last few days since Rhodes has been back.

    It happens every year. If the centre has an empty unit they will put them in it rather than blocking the mall itself

    Difference being that previously it was stipulated that it was a 'pop up' shop whereas this time it reads very much like it is going to be a permanent fixture.

    Strange decision to open a club shop when your customers are at your throat! Could be a disaster if results don't improve.

    On the positive side,Rahic walks away and booooooooooom sales soar!!!

    A strange decision given the rent in Broadway I should think will be high..unless the council are letting it out cheap to fill units.

    Might even be rent free as an empty unit doesn't encourage footfall to the rest of the development, something like a City shop might.
    I've a mate who works 3 months a year doing Christmas pop ups in high streets and has yet to pay rent, just pays utilities and business rates. Usually has 3 or 4. Spends a month a year in China buying crap and the other 8 months playing golf, and deciding what colour Bentley to order next.
